N O R A
This past year has been crazy.
Who would have thought that my freshman year of college would bring me so much? I got myself a lot of new friends, amazing ones. I fixed my relationship with my dad and brother and I couldn't be happier for that. I learned how to forgive myself and how to have fun.
I feel in love.
I think that was the greatest adventure. Falling in love with Matt had given me perspective, had made me change my mind about how I saw the world. Thanks to him, I saw things in a different color now, and I couldn't be more grateful to him for that.
What could I say about Matt? Things with him were absolutely perfect. I felt like I was in a movie, or a dream, and that I was going to wake up any moment back in square one. Thankfully, I had Matt to remind me that I wasn't dreaming. Things were very real *wink*.
So yeah, things were going amazingly smoothly.
Levi's -Aubrey's boyfriend- band was making it big in the music industry and they were even going to sign a contract with a record sign.
Stella and Ryan were the cutest couple ever, I swore. Ryan always tried to play the tough guy part, the bad boy, but he flushed everytime we caught them making out hiding from us like two fifteen-year-olds. It was so funny to see.
Jake and Alexandra were also quite adorable. Well, maybe adorable isn't the right word to describe those two. Alexandra's strong personality kind of clashed with Jake's soft part and not so soft part as well. They balanced each other which I guessed was good for them. I didn't know if they would make it through the years -who knew, right? – but I supposed they'd cross that bridge when it was time.
It was safe to say that my father and I kind of bonded over the months. Things weren't back to normal, far from it, but we were on the path to recovery.
And as far as college got, things were looking good as well. Sophomore year was about to start in a couple of days and I was thrilled. Yep.
So many good things awaited me this year.
Summer had gone by so fast, and a lot of amazing things had happened then as well. Matt and I had travelled back to San Francisco to visit some of his distant family and to spend there a couple of weeks, enjoying the hot early summer there. We also made a trip with all our friends just like we did all the way back in Spring Break. Matt understood how I wanted to spend some time with just my dad and my brother and he was happy that I spent some time away with them in a cabin that my grandparents owned. It was truly an inspiring place and time with my family and something much needed.
"Are you ready?!"
Stella shouted for me from the hallway.
Something very truly important had happened over the summer.
