A/N: *Giggles nervously,* erm, well, this is the start of me losing my writing virginity.
Chapter 9
Max’s POV
“You have to bring him to us,” Samuel said. Not even a greeting, and I knew right then that it’s become very, very serious. It’s been two months and El hasn’t budged. Emma and Samuel weren’t keen on losing Elsie, just as we weren’t keen on losing our baby Nathan. It was time that we brought them together. It may sound selfish, but I couldn’t stand looking at Nath the way he is now. He was so selfless. He really loves her, and I’m sure Elsie has figured out that she can’t live without him at this point. They’re both dying. They need each other.
“Okay. Give us a few hours.” And I hung up. I looked at the boys who heard the whole thing and they nodded at me. I stood up and turned to see Kelsey and Nareesha giving me soft smiles and nods.
I walked up to Nathan’s room and saw him looking so dead. His eyes have sunken with purple shadows underneath them, and his skin had gotten pailer. He slowly turned his head from the large window he was facing, not blinking once. I don’t even remember the last time he blinked. He's been keeping a blank stare.
“Nath?” And he nodded once. “Come on, let’s go for a little trip.” I tried to say with as much enthusiasm I could muster up.
“Mhm, where?” He asked. I paused and decided to not make our little side trip to Sam’s a surprise. Didn’t think he’d be in the mood for that….
“Would you like to see El again?” I asked him and I smirked. His eyes lit up in the slightest but it soon went away.
“Has she said that she wants to see me?”
“Erm, no. Mate, you need to see her…” I trailed off.
“No, I told her to tell me when she’s ready!” He tried to raise his voice but he sort of failed.
“Nathan, you need to see her. From what I know from Samuel, she wants you back, you twat!” I told him sternly and he looked angry at for calling him a twat.
“She does?” His eyes softened.
“Yes. Come on,” I said and I tried lifting his arm over my shoulder. He didn’t seem too weak to do a few miles.
“Max, I don’t think I can run…” He argued.
“It’s fine, I’ll carry you,” I laughed.
“What? No! I’m not a baby!” He laughed softly.
“Then man up, let’s go see your girl.” I said and we went downstairs.
Nathan’s POV
Max carefully led me downstairs. Everyone was sitting in the living area and they whipped their heads to look at us. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to that—it still creeps me out.
“Yay!” They sang, and I playfully rolled my eyes at them.
“Are any of you coming?” I asked them, Max still standing next to me.
Siva looked around at the rest of them sitting around him and said, “I don’t see why not.” He smiled.
“Yeah, sure, and besides, we might need to take turns carrying you all the way over there!” Tom exclaimed and everyone laughed, whereas I stood my ground and gave the straightest face.
“Oh come on, baby Nath, you know it’s because we love you.” Jay sang causing everyone to laugh and giggle.
“Alright, alright, let’s get a move on shall we?” Max said, ushering me towards the door.
