Chapter 21

Elsie’s POV

“El, come meet the Harrisons!” I heard Emma call from the garden. I fixed my appearance and dashed down the stairs swiftly, making sure to slow down as I got to the door leading to the pretty garden Emma makes sure to maintain every weekend.

Eight, gorgeous figures came into view—four men and four women. Emma extended her arm out towards me and put it around my shoulders. I wished Nathan was with me, but they were all hunting, including Sam. They’d be able to catch up with the Harrisons after their little trip.

“El, this is Carlisle and his mate slash wife, Esme,” Emma introduced me to the elegant couple and I shook their hands. Carlisle had fair, blonde hair with a blue sweater over his collared shirt along with nice pants. His wife, Esme, had dark brown hair that made her hazel eyes stand out. They almost reminded me of Sam and Emma.

“Over here is Rosalie and Emmett,” Emma gestured to the modelesque, honey blonde girl standing next to the burly guy known as Emmett. He had a handsome, baby face that contradicted his muscular body. I shook their hands as well.

“This is—“ Emma began to say but was cut off when the short girl unexpectedly hugged me. “—Alice,” Emma continued and chuckled when Alice let go of my waist. She had a spiky bob that reminded me of a fairy and a smile that will break your heart. Behind her was another blonde.

“This is Jasper, by the way,” Alice chirped and I smiled at him, shaking hands with him.

“And last, but not least, is Bella and Edward,” Emma continued with the intros as she directed me to the beautiful couple. Bella looked ordinary with her long, brown hair and heart-shaped face, compared to Edward who had a unique hint of colors to his light copper hair. The whole clan is beautiful.

“Nice to meet you all, shall we head inside?” I offered nicely and they all nodded. Emma smiled at me, impressed that I proposed that we talk more in the house.

It had been around 5 hours since the Harrisons arrived, and about 2 since Nathan and the others came back from hunting. I’d learned the whole Harrison family history, and they’ve learned ours, and that includes their individual stories. All of their stories were so interesting, you could practically write a series of novels.

The Harrisons listened to my and Nathan’s story, and Jasper joked, “Literally the true definition of ‘sexual tension.’” Nathan and I just sunk into our seats. What's important is that we're officially together for the rest of our lives.

Bella and Edward’s story fascinated me the most, though…how wondrous is a human-vampire, high school romance? I knew Nathan had sensed my awe for Edward and Bella, sitting next to me on the love seat, and he chuckled at me and smirked. I elbowed his arm and he laughed softly.

“You’re such a hopeless romantic,” he whispered in my ear when he thought the others weren’t listening. His thick Gloucester accent sent tingles down my spine.

“I’m not hopeless now that I’ve got you,” I grinned at him and he raised his eyebrows.

“That proves my point, right there,” he muttered and my grin grew.

“So, Elsie, are you excited for your wedding?” Esme asked me and I nodded, whipping my head to give her my attention, away from Nathan.

“Very. I don’t know…Nathan makes me feel human again,” I looked down as I smiled while the others awed. Nathan slung his arms around me, causing the awes to be louder. I should be blushing, but again, I can’t.

“You’re so good to her,” Rosalie said and Emmett scoffed.

“Are you implying something, babe?” Emmett faked shock and she slapped him in the gut. They reminded me of Tom and Kelsey’s relationship—the jokey kind, the best friend kind.

Soon they all engaged in their own little conversations and Nathan pulled me up from the seat we were sharing and into the garden. It was around 9 in the evening and the moon was shining as if a large lamp was above us.

Nathan drew me into a kiss—as cliché as it must sound—under the moonlight.

“I love you.” He said softly and I rested my forehead against his.

“I love you, too.”

A/N: Clearly a filler chapter...sorry :(  I'm starting to run out of ideas for this story and I think it's cause I kind of sped up with the whole rescuing-of-Elsie chapters....I'm starting to regret it, but I think this fanfic is coming to an end soon. UNLESS...unless...you all have some suggestions! Maybe I should end this first, and you guys can suggest/comment on what you want for, perhaps, a sequel? Maybe? No? You decide.
