I sat in the quiet apartment, going through old pictures in my photo albums. Seeing pictures from Christmas, two years ago, broke my heart. That was my last of three Christmases I spent with my boyfriend, Aiden, and his family. From the time I was 18, to 21, I lived with Aiden and his family, for my own reasons. I never really got along with my foster family, so as soon as I could leave I did. I was accepted into a music college in Los Angeles, with a full paid scholarship. I left Grosse Tete and went to college, leaving Aiden broken hearted.

Now looking at these pictures, makes me miss home more than normal. My heart shattered when I saw the picture of me and Aiden kissing in front of the Christmas tree.

The night we took that picture I remember him rushing me out of the bathroom. Telling me I looked beautiful already and there was no need for all the make up. Finally when I came out, his mom begged us to take a cute picture in front of the tree. As we posed, he stopped us, and pulled me closer and kissed me. That's when I saw the flash. I remember my heart doing flips, because it was such an adorable gesture.

I looked at my phone and sent Aiden a text message. "Hey...how have you been? I really miss y'all..."

Not two minutes later I got a response. "Hey!! I've been ok...I'm so glad you texted me! We miss you too...a lot...especially me..."

I sent, "I want to come home...but I'm so scared."

"Why?" He asked.

"Idk...I just miss y'all." I sent.

"Then come home. My mom would love to see you...we all would.."

  "I'm coming...really soon."
