8. Junior (Giving up)

His eyes are the eyes of a hopeless man, he wants to get out of this situation, but he just can't escape. He never wanted this to happen, but it is now too late, and this was all because of his carelessness and forgetful mind.

"I'm breaking up with you." Saying this sternly, you walk away leaving Jinyoung under the moon in the cold night.

You and Jinyoung have been together for 2 and a half years now. Although you know that he's always be busy due to the fact that he's part of an idol group, 'GOT7', you still understand him because he loves you and you love him too.

You receive a text message from your lover, saying that he wants to meet you at the old rendezvous (meeting place), which was in front of your local library. You smile at this because after a week of not communicating with each other, he was the first one to do it.

You change in to your casual clothes, and get your bag then tell your mom that you're going out.

It's been an hour since you came in front of library. "Where is he?" You ask yourself while tapping your right foot repeatedly, looking at your wrist watch that was given by him last year on your birthday.

You look around and there is still no sign of him. It's already 5:34 pm, and you two should've meet up 3 hours ago. You hold on your tummy that is rumbling because you still haven't eaten anything after you ate lunch.

Finally, you give up and walk straight towards the bus station without hesitation. You already knew this was going to happen since he had already did this before when you tried to surprise him after they performed a comeback.

"He ditched you?" Your friend asks you on the other end of the line.

"Well, it wasn't really ditching..." You trail off.

"Oh yes it is, I mean, what is this? This is the 4th time he did this right?" She asks the obvious. She knew that this now often happens to the both of you.

"He's just busy, that's all." You say trying to hide your sadness.

"But he called you right? He was the one who told you to come to the place, but what did he do? He ditched you! If he already knew he can't come, he should've told you, but maybe it was better if he really didn't call you. After all, the guy's always busy." She bursts out.

You didn't realize it until you feel warm water flowing down your cheeks; you're already crying.

"W-what should I do now?" You sniff.

"I think you should do what you should've done before." Your friend ends the call.

After a minute, you receive a text message from her that said:

'Break up with him'

You cry endless tears. You lie on your bed reminiscing the memories you had with Jinyoung before he got all busy being an idol.

The following nights, you didn't get much sleep you needed. You know you need something more than resting; you know you had to see him, at least just for once before you end your relationship.

But during those sleepless nights, you think about it, if you really wanted to do it. You have him now, why just let him go? Your mom advices you about it and she says if you love someone, let him go. That is, because it would be better knowing that it's for the good for the both of you, especially that he is a rising star and you know he loves his career. But you thought to yourself, 'Does he love his career more than me?'.

And that is when you decided your own fate for each other's sake.

"I'm going to tell him."

You stand outside the JYPE building. This is it, the day you're going to tell him what you needed to tell.

You walk straight up to the reception and ask for him. Knowing that you are his girlfriend, the receptionist tells you that he is in the practice room.

"Can you tell him to go down? If that's alright?" You ask and she nods. She speaks over the microphone and announces Junior to go down. You sit down on the couch in the waiting area.

After a short while, you see him walking towards you.

"______? What're you doing here?" He asks. He seems unhappy that you're here, or maybe it's just because of tiring practices.

"I wanted to talk to you." You sit up from the couch.

"Oh, about the time I called you to go to the library, I'm sorry I didn't get to come, we had a very tight schedule that week." He says.

"That's what I wanted to tell you about, are you free this time until evening?" You ask and he nods slowly.

The two of you walk to the exit, he tries to open the door for you, but you open it yourself. (bitter much? haha)

Once you got outside, you walk ahead of him. You can feel his presence behind you, feeling a little awkward and nervous.

You didn't talk during those walks, and you didn't bother to do so. He tried to, but you would only response in one phrase, and sometimes it would be an 'okay' or 'yeah'.

Everytime fans go over to him, you leave him and he would try to catch up with you.

It's already 7:30 and you are at the park.

"______? We've walked for 2 hours but you didn't talk to me. Is something wrong?" He asks in a worried tone.

"Jinyoung..." You start facing upwards the cloudless sky, avoiding to look at his gaze. But he he only stares at your pale face.

"Do you remember this place?" You continue and and he responses with a slight nod. "This is where you took me for our first monthsary date, right? I still remember you forgot to bring the beverages so you insisted on buying another one, but I told you it was okay."

He puts on a confused expression on his face, trying to figure out what you're saying.

Finally, you look up to him with a slight smile.

"You might forget about things, but you still make up for it, even if it will make me wait for you." His eyes stare at yours looking for answers.

"But I think I have waited enough... I love you Jinyoung, but I also get tired sometimes." You finally say.

"_____, what are you trying to tell me?" He asks but you do not respond.

"______!" He shakes you to reality and you are surprised by this.

"I'm giving up on you, Jinyoung!" You burst out.
