Dedicated to @kpopteen who requested for part 2!

Two years have passed and it was your first time to go home again in Korea to celebrate Christmas with your family and especially, with Yugyeom too.

You arrived at the airport on time and saw your parents holding a banner with your name written on it. You ran to them with a ridiculous looking face as the tears in your eyes continued to flow freely.

"Eomma! Appa!" Yeah, you missed them, alright.

Soon enough, you arrived in your house and as you entered, you reminisce the days when you were still running around in your diapers but it's not only that, because you were also running with someone very special to you.

"Where's Yugyeom?"

They turned at each other with a morose look. You furrowed your eyebrows, curious about what they had to say about your longtime bestfriend.

"I'm so sorry!" Your mother hugged you suddenly and she cried which told you that something serious had happened to him.

"Waeyo? What happened?" You turned to your father who still had a plain expression on his face and it wasn't any just any look that said everything was okay.

He told you that he had heart cancer. Yugyeom already had this when he was only ten years old and as time went by, it worsened. He didn't want to tell it to you because he knew that if you were told about it, you would be worried about him all the time and he would be just a burden to you. Also, he knew that it would be best for you not to know because he knows it would hurt you much if you knew that he was suffering and you didn't know about it all those times in the past.

You told them to take to you to him. And as said, you and your parents got back again into the car and your father drove swiftly but carefully too.

You didn't know where you were being taken as you had already passed his house which was just two blocks from yours. You thought you were going to go to the hospital but, your father had passed by it too.

There was only one place, one place and you knew that there was a possibility of him, already gone. You cried as you thought of that, him, your bestfriend not existing anymore. You loved him but never have you said those three words to him. You were afraid of being in a one-sided love with your one and only bestfriend and the worst that could happen is that you'll just get rejected and he might not talk to you anymore. Also, if he really is gone already, next thing you know, you'll be eaten by regret, alone.

Then there it was, the cemetery coming near, or rather, you were the one coming near it. You closed your eyes and breathed in heavily not wanting to see if your father will turn to that corner. A minute has passed and you were shocked. Your father wasn't turning around to where you last expected him to go. He was still driving straight and you were already in the next town.

You breathed again in relief.

He stopped at a familiar house. You got out and went near the entrance. Your mother touched your shoulder and nodded, motioning you to knock on the door.

You nodded back and as what she said, you went to the door and knocked on it.

Seconds after, it opened. You were expecting him to open but you only saw an old lady in a loose dress with spectacles, greeting you.

"Halmoni?" It was Yugyeom's grandmother. You were a bit disappointed in yourself as you didn't recognize the house where you and Yugyeom always stayed at. You and his grandmother were as close as you and him too.

She let you enter but your parents stayed outside. It seemed like she knew something him, well of course, he is her favorite grandson.

Nothing changed in the decorations expect for the new television set standing still on the wooden table in the living room. You sat on the couch while she went to the kitchen to prepare some tea. She came back a few minutes after and gave you the cup.

"You're looking for him, aren't you?" These past two years, he always wanted to see you too. But of course, you were on the other side of the world." She chuckled in her sweet tone as she sipped on the mint tea.

"I always knew you two were perfect for each other. Just seeing you two together reminds me of my late husband whenever we dated in the old times." She sighed for a moment.

"But he's gone now." You sat frozen on your seat as she said those words. It was like she was saying that Yugyeom was also gone like her husband.

"I meant my husband, sorry. Don't worry, Yugyeom's still alive." She chuckled again which made you mentally slapped yourself inside.

"But I think your parents already told you, right? Ah, that kid's really stubborn. He would always skip the treatments and check-ups to the doctor. Sometimes he would even tell his parents that his heart is already healed and it just makes me more worried. But..." She trailed off which made you listened more carefully.

"It was because of you that he was able to pass those painful attacks." You froze at her statement, still processing what she said in your mind.

"He really loved you, you know? He had five attacks the next morning when you left. His parents called the ambulance quickly but they were taking too long, so they had to take him to the hospital themselves. It was the next day I was told about it. I went to the hospital and I saw my daughter outside his room. She told me that there was a possibility that he won't make it. The doctor went out of the room with her husband and they told us that he only had little time left. We went in and I saw him looking at us. He was lying on the bed and there were so many wires circling around his body like he was some human experiment. I didn't want to see him like that;it was too painful for me to look at my grandson who was going to leave earlier than me. He told us that whatever happens to him, he wanted us to move on and just continue our lives. He also wanted to send a message to you, that if you come back, I should tell you that he decided to travel the world and he also wanted to see you in the States. Aish, that silly kid! I told him that you were going to be suspicious of that if he was gone for so many years without even hearing a word from him... I told your parents not to tell it to you until you come back. But since you're already here..."

She placed her cup of tea on the coffe table and stood up then walked behind you. You turned around and saw her went to the sliding door . She motioned you to go to her and you followed.

Because the door was made of glass, you saw through it, her own beautiful garden and you also saw him.

You slowly opened it and went behind him.

"Yugyeom?"

He turned around and it wasn't your bestfriend you saw.
