"Nurse, I think we need to operate him now. Prepare the operation room and tell the patient's family about it."

"Yes, doc."

"Doc, the patient's losing more blood!"

"I'm very sorry... your son didn't make it." His mom started to cry on her husband's shoulder.

My eyes started to get teary as I saw his mother crying. Personally, I didn't like seeing people crying, it's really contagious for me.

The other nurses accompanied his parents to their son's room while I stayed here beside the doctor.

"Doc?" I finally let a tear shed in my eyes.

He looked at me with worried eyes as if he had done the worst thing on earth.

"I'm very sorry. I did my best to-"

"Doctor Im, I know, you did your best to relieve him. It's okay." I comforted him as I gave him a hug and rubbed his back.

"______, thanks for being beside me. I love you." He said.

"Doctor Im, we're at the hospital, call me nurse ______." I said as I pulled out of the hug.

"Fine, 'nurse ______'. Better?" He said and I nodded.
