You plopped down to your bed thinking about the question he made:

Will you accept me?

His question had made you thinking if you would really accept him. Bambam was a wallflower, it meant that he was an introvert and he didn't talk to anyone except the teachers. Nobody teased him, bullied him, nor ever even dared to talk to him.

Suddenly, your mom called you from downstairs. Today, a friend and her family of your mother was coming to visit. You quickly rushed down and saw that there were already full of strangers inside your house.

"Oh, here she is, ______, meet aunt Vivian and uncle Mike. This is their child, Bambam. He's the same age as you."

Coincidence or not? That was what you thought.

"______, take him to the living room and we'll be grilling some barbeque, okay?" Your parents went with the other adults and you took him to the living room as what your mother told you to do.

"Soo... chips?" You offered him some snacks but he didn't respond. "You're really silent, you know? You should talk more or else your saliva will spoil."

"Have you thought about it?" He suddenly asked.

"Thought about wh- oh that?"

~Flashback~

You were walking to the library when you saw him sitting alone at one of the desks.

You walked towards him and put a book on the table, surprising him. "Hey!"

He looked at you, emotionless. He looked down again, continuing to read a book. You furrowed your eyebrows at him. You then flicked his forehead, in which he reacted from.

He looked at you with a bit of expression on his face, looking irritated. Then after, he stood up and went to another table. You followed him there.

"Why are you so quiet?" He didn't respond.

"Hello? Is something not working in there?" You waved your hand in front of his face.

You made some inhumane noises, moved closer to him, and even did wacky faces.

Finally, you earned a smile from him.

"Yes! Finally, you smiled! Gosh, it's really hard to make you react, I even thought you were an alien or something." He smiled more when he heard this.

"So Bambam, can you tell me why you're always like this? We've been classmates for years, yet, I haven't heard a word from you." He frowned again.

"Oh sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. It's just that, I'm really curious. I'm curious about how it feels like to be friends with you, you know?"

He didn't respond. But he sticked out a pen from his pocket and wrote something on a paper.

I have trust issues

"Trust issues?" You asked and he nodded.

If you're really that curious, just stop.

"Why? Is there something wrong with being friendly?"

There's a reason why I chose to be like this.

"Well then, would you mind telling me what your reason is?"

At first, he hesitated, but then he wrote something again.

Scars.

"Scars? Oh, you mean you don't trust Scar from the Lion King?" He laughed again which made you smile.

He stopped and sighed, then for the first time ever, he said something.

"Will you accept me?"

~End of Flashback~

"You know what? I still really don't get what you said about 'scars'."

"There are just things that don't need explanation." He pointed out.

"Oh yeah? Like what?" You crossed your arms.

"Like this." He suddenly leaned in and kissed you in the lips. It was a soft and long peck. Then it became more passionate when he moved his lips in sync with yours. He pulled out himself and rested his chin on your shoulder.

"Now will you accept me?" He asked again.

"Yes."

"Will you trust and believe in me?"

"Yes."

He removed his head from your shoulder, and now you could see his face covered with scars.

"This is me, ______. This is the reason why I'm like this.

You were mesmerized by the scars he had. But they weren't really scars, but beautifully drawn tattoo-like shapes and patterns.

"It's beautiful, but how did this happen?" You wondered.

"That's another story."
