It was a cold winter day.

The whole neighbourhood was quiet as the winds blew hard outside their homes. The snow fell endlessly to the icy grounds which made them very slippery.

You looked through your window, thinking of when he will come back; worrying about his condition because the weather was intensely rough.

JB went to the local grocery store because he had to buy more milk for your toddler. You insisted to go with him but he refused to, telling that no one will take care of your playful one year old.

It was already past seven yet he still hasn't arrived. He went out at five and you were getting worried of his whereabouts; if something bad happened to him.

Minutes later, your phone rang and it was him. You immediately press the call button and put it over your ear.

"Is this Mrs. Im?" It wasn't his voice you heard but rather a younger man's.

"Y-yes, who's this? Where's my husband?" You stammered as you held the phone tighter.

"Mrs. Im, I'm afraid to tell you this but your husband got into a car accident. We're already taking him to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible." The heart in your chest beated faster as his words processed slowly in your mind.

You ended the call as soon as you decided to go after him. But if it wasn't your baby, you would've already gone to the hospital. Also, you didn't have a transportation to use and the weather was getting worse. You really wanted to go but you were afraid if the same thing could happen to you and your child too.

The next day, the weather turned to fair one. Although it was still snowing, the wind blew softer this time. You didn't get enough sleep last night as you were still worrying about his condition. You called his best man, Jackson, to come and pick you up to go to the hospital today.

You left your toddler at Junior's as he had already experienced taking care of a child with his own wife. Soon enough, you arrived at the destination and you quickly ran to the reception. You were speaking at a fast pace that the receptionist didn't undertand a word you said. But thanks to Jackson who calmed you down, he was the one who talked with her.

She said that the patient was really hurt as he had one of his legs fractured and his head hit the glasswindow real hard.

You quickly ran up to the stairs as Jackson followed you behind. You looked for the room and once your eyes landed on the said numbers on the door, your heart raced. You wanted to see him but at the same time you didn't want to look at his disfigured body.

You breathed in heavily as Jackson patted your shoulder. You slowly twisted the knob and opened it to see him sleeping peacefully with his right leg hung and his head covered in bandage. You covered your mouth and went closer to him. As you put your hand over his, it moved and you turned to watch his eyes slowly open.

"S-sugarpie?" He called you with the side of his lips lifting upwards.

"Yeah, it's me." You whispered as you held onto his hand tighter but carefully not to hurt him more.

"I bought the milk already." He chuckled which made you smile and tear at the same time.

"I know, you always do." You replied remembering how he was concerned about his son's health and how he would always remind you to buy milk whenever you're in the grocery store. Your eyes swelled up and tears came running out from it.

"Hey, hey, don't cry. I'm still here." He wiped your tears with his free hand.

"Not being rude but I'm also here. Hey bro!" Jackson cut in and brofisted him.

I know, the ending's like... meh. Anyway, can you just imagine JB calling you sugarpie?! >_<
