The next day, Taylor and I pulled up at school, finding the perfect spot right near the entrance so we didn’t have to walk far. As I reached the door I spotted Liam. He looked up at me, caught my eye and waved. “Hey Aly! How are you?” he smiled and engulfed me in a hug. I waved goodbye to Taylor and walked with Liam down the hall towards the outdoor area.
He looked at me expectantly and cleared his throat “So, this party on Friday night… do you know who the guy who’s hosting it?” He raised his eyebrows quizically at me for a moment.
I shook my head and answered “Well… I’ve heard of him and, basically the whole school is going so I think I’ll be fun, you still want to come right?” I stared into his bright blue eyes as he smiled and nodded “Yeah of course, I’m actually looking forward to-”
Liam was cut off from what he was saying because at that exact moment, someone covered my eyes and whispered into my ear “Morning beautiful” and kissed me on the cheek, his hot breath hitting my neck and making me shiver.
Confused and completely unaware of who would address me like that, I asked “Umm… who is this, if you don’t mind me asking?”, I let out a small giggle as the big, tanned hands were removed from my face and I was turned around I was met with the face of…
“Edward? Wha - what are you doing?” I furrowed my eyebrows slightly.
He let out a small chuckle “I just wanted to talk to you and whoever your bringing about the party on Friday.” he smiled and I nodded.
Realization hit me as I realized that Liam was, in fact, still present. “Oh, yeah, Edward, this is one of my best friends, Liam Taylor. Liam, this is Edward Muller. He’s the one who invited us to his friends party on Friday.”
They smiled at each other as they murmured greetings and clapped hands. “So, Aly, I was thinking, I just got a new car and, if the party is on the way to your house, I could pick you and Taylor up and take you there?”
I contemplated this… I’d have to talk to Tay about it first, seeing as she’s probably the more responsible one here… “Umm… yeah that actually sounds good, it will take the burden from Tay… sounds good” I smiled. “But if there is gonna be alcohol I’ll just take a cab home.” My cheeks flushed a light shade of pink.
“So I’ll pick you up round quarter past 6 so we get there in time?”
I nodded and he hesitated before continuing. “So, seeing as I’m picking you up and everything and we don’t always get on Facebook… could I have your number?”
“Yeah of course you can, it kinda makes sense for me to give it to you anyways”. Before he went to leave he gave me a hug, squeezing my bum lightly. As this happened, I jumped and elbowed him in the chin.
“Oh my gosh! I’m so sorry Edward! I didn’t mean -”
I was cut off by the sound of him laughing. “It’s fine, really it didn’t even hurt.” I blushed slightly before looking at the ground and nodding timidly.
“So I guess I’ll see you later then?” he smiled and sauntered off, leaving me standing there with Liam.
“Well someones a flirt… either that or he likes you… or both.” said Liam, and he smirked and winked at me. I laughed and shoved him lightly before sitting down across from him once more. “Shut up Liam! He does not! We’ve barely met!” and I blushed slightly.
