I stared at them for a moment, trying to compose myself before turning to Hayley in complete shock. Evidently she had also seen what I did because the look on her face at this point mirrored mine. I spoke into her ear “Hayley - what is happening? A cheating boyfriend?! Again?! Oh my god is this even really happening? What do I do?!”

She sighed and turned to face me, putting her hands on either of my shoulders. “Aly, okay, you don’t wanna make a big scene here, not here, not now okay? Just breathe it’s gonna be fine. I think you should pretend like you didn’t see anything and then yell at him, tell him off, or whatever you feel once the night is over. Thats what I would do.” She paused before continuing “You’re alright with staying yeah? Or do you just wanna get outta here?”

I sighed, contemplating my options. I could be the bigger person, pretend like I saw nothing and never mention it again, make a huge scene and embarrass us both, slap that bitch and silent treat him or wait to go off at him at a later time.  I sniffed, getting it together and deciding on what I was going to do.

Nate’s POV

I was shocked and caught completely off guard, having this girl throw herself at me and then having her hands all over me. I was frozen for a moment before I realised what was happening, also realising that Aly was probably close by and could quite possibly see everything, either that or someone would tell her… After getting over the initial shock, I pushed Hollie off me, completely disgusted. She gasped. “Why would you do that?!”

“Why wouldn’t I?! I am obviously not interested, and if you must know, I. Have. A. Girlfriend!” I turned on my heel, not giving her a chance to respond. I could hear her calling me from where I previously stood and so quickened my pace to get back to where Aly and everyone else was. I immediately sought out Aly, wanting to hold her just to make all of the last 5 minutes go away somehow. I’ll tell her… just not now. I don’t really want to make a scene in front of everyone. I know if she saw me it was going to take a long time to get her to listen to me… especially after what happened with Edward. I sighed, found Aly, and wrapped my arms around her from behind. I murmured into her ear “I gotta tell you something later”

She turned her head to look at me, a little uneasy and tense and said “Okay, sounds good.”

I furrowed my eyebrows slightly and looked her in the eyes, touching the end of her chin so she would face me. “Hey, everything okay? You seem… uneasy.”

“Oh, yeah, it’s fine, everything’s fine.” She shot me a half smile and pecked my lips. I still wasn’t completely reassured but chose to let it go for the time being.

Aly’s POV

He said he had to talk to me, and I hoped to God that it was about what I saw because if he was keeping it from me l think we would find ourselves in a messy situation. Well, messier than it already was. But I didn’t want to ruin Jared’s special night so I just swallowed my pride and pretended like everything was alright. I mean, I’m sure it wasn’t what it looked like.

We sat and talked with Shaunee, Hayley and some of Ryan’s group. I noticed Ryan and Hayley were getting closer and closer as the night went on and I made a mental note to myself to get those two together - they were so cute!

Jared had come back from getting rid of that group of… unwanted guests, looking flustered. He smiled at us all and put his arm around Shaunee. “Hey again guys. Ugh I can’t believe they turned up, they weren’t even invited!”
