The next morning, I stirred, and rolled over, facing Hayley and the window. The crack of the curtain that was open showed it was a beautiful spring day outside, great for swimming and getting our tan on! Yes!

I sat up and rubbed my eyes in an effort to wake up. The clock on the wall said it was almost 11:15. Hayley must have felt me move because she too sat up and stretched. She yawned and said “Morning chicka. Sleep well?”

I caught her yawn and nodded. “Yep, sure did. You?”

She nodded. “Yeah I did. And I saw Nate carry you to bed cause you fell asleep! Gaah it was so cute Aly! Can you two just get together already?” she grumbled.

I snorted and elbowed her. “Okay two things. One; it was and is not cute okay! And two; we are just friends! We don’t even like each other like that… we’ve been through this…”

She shook her head and gave me 'the look’. “Please Aly, I see the way he looks at you. And you know I’m right… but anyways this argument is totally pointless because you are so damn stubborn! Geez…”

I giggled and nodded. “Yup. That’s me! Stubborn as they come. But hey look outside it looks like today’s gonna be a good day. Didn’t you say there was a swimming pool down the road? Like walking distance?”

While looking through the crack in the curtain she said “Wow looks like a good day to get our tan on! Yeah there is a swimming pool down the road… how bout you go ask the guys and I’ll let my Aunty know what we’re doing today?”

“Sounds good. Meet you in the kitchen in 5?”

She nodded and we both peeled back the covers and went our separate ways.

I peeked my head into the doorway of Liam and Nate’s room. It was dim and they were both sleeping, breathing evenly. Their bedroom was different to ours, but not my much. Instead of a double bed, they had two roomy singles, their own bathroom and a window with a nice view of the front of the house.

Enough waiting, I walked in between the two beds and tickled them both under their chins. Liam furrowed his eyebrows and rolled over and Nate smiled in his sleep, causing a small dimple to appear slightly in one of his cheeks.

My breath caught in my throat. Oh my god that was so cute! I smiled and leaned down and said into his ear “Wake up sleepy head!” and tickled his chin again.

He smiled and his eyes fluttered open, revealing his brown orbs. We were a breath away from each other. He smiled and whispered “Morning beautiful. Sleep well?”

I chuckled and whispered back “Yeah I did actually… thanks for… you know putting me to bed last night…” I laughed and my cheeks flushed a light pink.

He touched my cheek and chuckled. “It’s fine.” his eyes darted over to Liam, who was stirring. “I think it’s time to wake Liam up - properly…”

I stood up, and started to move over to Liam’s bed but Nate touched my arm and stopped me. “No no no - allow me” he said and winked.

I watched as Nate went over and started jumping on Liam’s bed, yelling for him to get up. Reluctantly, he did and looked between Nate and I. His voice still filled thick with sleep, he rubbed his eyes and said “Umm… w-what’s going on?”

Nate looked at me expectantly and said “Yeah, I actually don’t know… what’s up Al?”

I smiled and said “Well, Hay and I just got up ourselves, and were talking and wondering if after we eat something, do you guys wanna walk down to the pools that are down the road from here? It’s a really beautiful day outside, and it’ll be fun!”
