After leaving Nate’s and walking through the door of my own house, Taylor grabbed my arm and towed me up the stairs to her room. “Ow! Tay what are you-”

“Oh be quiet you and just come with me okay? Okay!” She let go of my arm and closed her bedroom door behind us. “So! What happened with Nate hmm? I wanna know it all!” she smiled widely and sat down on her bed, indicating for me to do the same.

I smiled the biggest smile just thinking about everything that happened and proceeded to explain how everything played out. Every so often she made an ‘aww’ sound or nodded. I finished the whole explanation with “And then he kissed me at his front door before I walked back home”. I giggled and blushed a light pink waiting for Taylor to voice her opinions on all this.

“Aly! That’s so cute! I knew this would happen since you first told me about him you know.”

I snorted. “You did not! Come on Tay.”

She nodded. “Yep I sure did! I just you know, didn’t say anything. I wasn’t gonna go put ideas in your head!"

I shook my head slightly at her and then thought about it. “Fair enough I guess.”

“Wait, so what are you guys exactly? Like until he takes you out at least?” She raised her eyebrows at me in a questioning manner and I thought about it. What were we? We weren’t friends with benefits because they don’t do dates…

Oh I know! “We’re… ‘unofficially’ dating I guess. At least until after exams anyways.”

She nodded. “Yeah that sounds about right, given the circumstances. Hey! You should be studying right now shouldn’t you? Tsk tsk! Shoo! Off you go, go study!”

I laughed and nodded, making my way out of her room. “Yeah yeah, okay Tay. Same goes to you sweets!”

I closed the door behind me when I was in my room and grabbed my phone, dialing Hayley’s number. She’d want to know about this.

“Hello?”

“Hey Hayley! It’s me, Aly.”

“Oh hey you! Whats going on?”

I lay back onto my bed and kicked off my shoes. “Well… I talked to Nate today.”

I heard her squeal through the phone and I had to hold it away from my ear until she finished. I laughed at her antics and listened to her speak. “Oh my god you did?! And? WHAT HAPPENED?!”

I laughed again and then proceeded to explain what I just did to Taylor, and then let it sink in. I swear I could feel her smiling wider and wider through the phone. “So… you gonna say, well, anything or…?”

She laughed and then decided to finally speak. “Well this is what I’ve been waiting for with Liam for like the whole year to be completely honest with you!” she giggled and continued. “But aw thats seriously so cute Aly, I’m really happy for you… but woah woah woah, wait. If you haven’t gone on an official date yet… but you’ve hooked up and admitted your feelings… does that mean you're like unofficially together?”

I smiled. “Exactly. Unofficially together. So as of yet he’s not my boyfriend but he will be soon to the rest of the world!” I chuckled at the dramatic element that was completely unnecessary.

“Have you told Liam yet?” she asked me.

I shook my head even though she couldn’t see me. Always been a habit of mine. “Nope not yet, I was gonna tell him on Monday, he seems to be unreachable on weekends.”
