It was about an hour into the party, and things were in full swing. The DJ had set up in the backyard downstairs and the music could be heard all throughout the large double-story house. There were people dancing and grinding on each other everywhere, and everyone was having a good time. There were most probably couples in the bedrooms upstairs hooking up, as well as a few couples going at it downstairs. I chuckled at the sight. People were getting drinks and snacks from the kitchen, hanging out and mingling together.

I was hanging out with Jared, Ryan and Hayley; Nate and Liam had wondered off a couple minutes ago in search of the other guys and a drink. We were all laughing and talking about anything, it was all mindless chatter really when we heard the DJ speak through the speakers. “Yo hey there everyone! How y’all doing tonight?!” Everyone cheered as he continued to speak to the crowd. “Thats good, thats good. Now I know you guys are all here for my man Jared’s birthday, can I get an applause for my little man?!” Again, everyone cheered and clapped, Ryan clapped Jared on the back happily. “Yeah, happy birthday bro. Anyways, so I just thought seeing as we’ve all been having such a good time, I’d continue to keep it going with this next special song just for you my man. I wanna see everyone out on the dance floor having a good time!” We all looked at Jared expectantly and he held his hands out and shook his head, laughing. “That had nothing to do with me, I had no idea! If anything ask Ry!”

Ryan was also laughing right as the song that the DJ was talking about started playing and the beat of a familiar song came through the speakers. We all started laughing and made suggestive glances and sounds towards Jared and Shaunee. They were laughing with us right as we all grabbed each other and went down to the dance floor.

It's your birthday, so I know you want to ride out

Even if we only go to my house

Sip on weezy as we sit upon my couch

Feels good but I know you want to cry out

We were all singing along to the lyrics loudly, in the middle of the dance floor, disco ball spinning and everyone having a good time. I felt someone come up behind me and put their hands on my hips just as the second verse started. I smiled and craned my neck to confirm that it was, in fact, Nate.

Everyone started to wolf whistle as the chorus started, and I felt Nate grind on me from behind, and press his lips to my neck. I giggled as his hot breath tickled my neck, and my thoughts wandered back to the party we went to earlier in the year, back when we were just friends and we danced with each other like this.

I laughed, threw my head back and turned to face him. “Remember when we were at that party earlier in the year and danced like this?” I said, with a hint of amusement in my voice.

After a moment a flicker of recognition flashed across his features before he grinned and pulled me closer. “Well you’re mine now” he said into my ear, voice husky.

I smirked and nodded. “Mmhm I am…”

I broke away from him, joining the rest of the group and grabbing Hayley, dancing with her for the rest of the song, laughing with everyone and having a good time.

We continued to dance for another couple songs and just as Little Bad Girl came through the speakers, we were all dying for a break so made our way back up to the kitchen, weaving through the crowd and up the stairs back to our previous chill spot.

Nate had his hand entwined with mine but let go and said “I’ll see you guys in a minute, I just gotta use the bathroom… and I might be a while cause I gotta find one thats not, you know, occupado if you know what I mean…” he chuckled and we all laughed.
