So this is my first ever story that i'm uploading! I know it's only short but hopefully you guys like it anyways :)

Also just a note: I am aware that the links in my chapters aren't clickable, and that you have to type them into your address bar if you really want to see them, so ill try and put outfits in a slideshow somewhere on this page. However if it isn't on the side and you really want to see it just go to the link yourself :) thanks and enjoy x

I shut my locker with a satisfying click and made sure I had everything I needed before I went with Hayley to get our timetables for the year. Everyone was busy and continuously moving.

I turned to Hayley and asked "Have you seen Liam?". Her blonde wavy hair moved around her shoulders as she attempted to look for our best friend.

"Nope. Don't worry we will find him later." She flashed me a smile before continuing. "Lets go to room 26 and get our schedules. Thats where the year 10 students were meant to go..." I nodded and as I turned I bumped into someone, almost sending me to the floor (my clumsy nature is a curse I'm sure), but a strong hand reached out and saved me.

"Oh my god sorry! I'm new and I don't really know..." he kept talking but I wasn't listening. I was lost in his chocolate brown eyes and as he helped me up I took in his appearance. He was wearing black jeans with a white v-neck t-shirt and Converse. He was tanned, with eyes  you could evidently lose yourself in, with one of those smiles that were filled with warmth. As he ran a hand through his caramel hair I realized I should probably tune back into whatever it was he was saying. Good thing too because it was then he decided to hold out a hand to me. "I'm Nate, Nate Stevenson."

I shook it back and smiled. "My name's Aly Novina and this is one of my best friends, Hayley Moore". He smiled and they shook hands and murmured greetings to each other.

"So do you girls know where the year 10 students have to pick up their timetables? Like I said, I'm new here and I don't really know how things work..."

I smiled. "We're year 10 students too! Here, come with us, we'll teach you how things work around here".

And with that, I linked arms with Hayley and Nate, leading them both to room 26.

"OK so... first... science with Ms. Tavolio? Second period, Woodwork with Mr. Inertio? What about you guys?" I looked up expectantly at Liam, Nate and Hayley. Liam and Hayley both shook their heads but Nate looked up at me, a knowing glint in his eyes as he said the words "Me too!"

I sighed a breath of relief knowing that I at least had one friend with me.

Hayley and Liam both looked at each other and groaned "Double period of Calculus with Mr. Effimore! He hates me!" Hayley remarked while scanning her other classes.

I laughed as the bell for first period rang. I looked up at Nate and smiled. "Wanna head off to Science? You won't find your way otherwise."

He nodded and we all went our separate ways for the morning.

Science was such a drag. It was halfway through and Ms. Tavolio was droning on about the expectations for her class that year. As she was, Nate passed me a note.

So, I'm sorry if I interrupted you listening to this lovely teacher of ours but, if we're friends now, can I by any chance have your number? :)
