Chapter 13: Days, Weeks, Months

(Lily's POV)

Its been 4 days since me and Evan started dating and everything has changed quickly. My mother is feeling better than ever but she can't leave the hospital just yet, my dad hasn't been rude for the past few days and Karina has never bothered me.

"Lily!"

I break out of my thoughts to see Sofia and Tyler running towards me, we have all decided to come to school early so we can talk and such.

"Hey guys!" I say and they both stop running to catch their breath. I laugh at how unfit they both were. They both certainly make a cute couple.

"You guys came surprisingly early." I say and they glare at me, I raise my hands up in surrender and giggle.

"Well, we didn't want to leave you a loner." Tyler says and I glare at him, making them both laugh.

Soon, the rest of the guys started coming and the only one that hasn't arrived yet was Evan. We all wait patiently as some of the guys had their conversations, I was just looking at the main doors hoping he will walk through them at any second.

"Getting worried?"

I turn around to see Jonathan looking towards me and I smile. I am becoming a bit worried but I know Evan will make it. I fix a piece of my hair behind my ear and I look back at Jonathan.

"Yeah, I am a bit worried, I just hope he isn't in some kind of trouble." I say, knowing that if he has problems in his life, it will be harder for me to maintain my problems.

"Just give him a few more minutes, Evan is just late, he usually is though." Jonathan says and I smile at him as he tried to cheer me up.

"Hey guys!"

I look up and there he was. I hug him and he returns the hug and kisses the top of my head.

"I am sorry Lil, I didn't mean to startle you, morning traffic." Evan says and I giggle.

"I am glad you're okay though." I say and he smiles down at me. I plant a kiss on his cheek and we both started walking with the others to our classes.

[2 Weeks Later]

School is going by fast, and everything has been going smoothly, but I have noticed Evan being a little distant from me. I tried asking one of the guys if everything was alright with him but nobody knew. Even Jonathan didn't know, and he is Evan's best friend.

"Lily, its okay, its probably hockey meet ups and such, winter sports are coming up." Jonathan says to me and I nod. Yeah, hockey is his favorite sport and I don't want to get in the middle of it.

"Sorry guys, I have been busy with stuff." Evan says, walking towards the table we were all sitting at. I smile as he approaches and he glimpses at me than looks at the guys.

That's weird, why is he not making eye contact with me?

"Anyways, I gotta go, see you all later." He says and runs off inside the school building. I watch him run through the hall and disappear. I felt my heart break since he didn't come up to me or at least gave me a hug.

I stand up from my seat and walk towards the doors that separate the outside from the inside.

"Lily, where are you going?" I hear Sofia say, I just ignore her and continue walking towards my last period class, I am not in the mood for anything at this point.

As class finished, I make my way to the front of the school and I didn't even bother waiting for my friends, all I can think about was Evan and why he is trying to ignore me. Whatever it is, I want to fix it.

[A Month Later]

I am not myself anymore, I am like my old self now. Alone, locked and sad. Evan hasn't replied to any of my messages for a month now. I am surprised that we are still dating.

"Hey Lil, how are you doing?" Brock asks me, making Lui, Tyler and Nogla turn to me. I respond with a shrug and I continued getting lost in my thoughts.

"I am sorry Lily, I wish there was something I can do, but Evan has never acted like this." Brock says and I sigh as I bring my knees up to my chest, resting my head on my knees.

"Its okay, he is probably just busy." I say and they go silent and I just continue to listen to my thoughts.

'Why is Evan doing this?'
'Has Karina finally gotten him to like her?'
'Is he cheating on me?'

I felt a tear slide down my cheek and I watch as students walk past the bench me and the others were sitting on. As I was watching I see Sofia run down the hall with a flyer.

"Lily!" She says and I look up at her as she grins. She hands me a flyer and I take it than view it. I felt the sadness rise.

"The prom is coming up and I am excited, wanna know why?" She says and I just continue staring at her.

"Because Tyler asked me to Prom!" My eyes widen at the news and all the guys congratulate them. I look back at the flyer and sigh.

"Congrats Sofi, I am happy for you." I say in a low voice. Thats great, Sofia already got asked and the Prom isn't until November, but I already knew Evan wouldn't ask me, he probably is too busy dealing with something which I don't mind at all.

"Hey, don't worry about Evan okay." She says to me and I smile.

I hope Evan is okay, whatever is keeping him away from me, it won't break the bond we have with each other.
