"Dun, I need you to stop freaking tapping or I'm sending you out." Josh's history teacher, Mr. Mike, warned him for the hundredth time that day. Josh was always reminded to stop tapping but the message never really got through to him. His tapping was involuntary and, although it was a pain, he kind of liked it because the beats he made sounded good to him.

"Sorry." Josh replied, sinking into his seat and shoving his hands in his pocket. Class (and school) was almost over anyways and he couldn't wait to get out of there. School was not Josh's favorite past time.

When the bell rang, Josh was the first to shoot up from his seat and dash from the door, trying to avoid the crowd of people that was about to spill into the hallway. He made it half way down the stairwell when his shoe lace came undone and he tripped, tumbling down the steps.

Students around Josh just laughed, not bothering to help him up or see if he was, at least, okay from his incident. Rubbing his head slightly, Josh stood up and dusted himself off only to get pushed back down again by some jerk who was in the stair landing.

"I think you belong down there, pal." The taller male whispered to Josh. He had dark brown hair and brown, piercing eyes that were actually kind of welcoming no matter how awful the person that possessed them were. Josh fell back and sat on the ground, waiting for the boy to leave but it didn't seem like he was moving anytime soon.

All around him were kids chatting with their friends about Josh and his fall and what the other boy would do to him if he got up again but all of that was silenced when a teacher ran through, trying to figure out what all the commotion was about. Right when they got to the scene, they saw the taller boy's fist collide with Josh's cheek and how everyone gasped and snickered in response.

"Alright, alright! Move, leave the school! Now! Brendon, dean's office right now!" He screamed. The bystanders were quick to disperse, going about their way as Mr. Mike helped Josh up because he knew that punch would leave him a little dazed.

"I didn't start it, Mike." Brendon told Mr. Mike, jokingly as he walked away.

"Yeah, and I have a million dollars overseas. Just go to the office and don't be a prick." He yelled back. These kids really got on his nerves and under his skin but he knew he couldn't do much. It was just like this when he was in school too and it wouldn't change for some time. He stood Josh up, walking him to the dean's office for him to give his statement and get his parents down there to pick him up.

"Thanks, Mr. Mike." Josh whispered as he sat down in one of the chairs that were in the hall. Josh was finished talking to the dean and was now waiting on his mom to get to the school. He felt more embarrassed than ever because he knew no one liked him and getting punched while having to be rescued by a teacher wasn't a such cool thing.

Mr. Mike only sighed and sat next to him. "You don't have to be sorry, Dun. Nothing's your fault here." He gave Josh a small smile and a light pat on the back, standing up and going back to his classroom. As he was walking he saw a frantic mother running into the building.

"He's over there." He pointed out to her, knowing it was Mrs. Dun. She quickly thanked him and jogged over to her freshly bruised son. Mr. Mike took notice of how the mother hugged her son tightly and walked with him out the door and to their car. Josh was a good kid, he just needed a friend. Then, maybe, he wouldn't get picked on as much.

"Josh, sweetie, what happened?" His mother asked him in a very concerned tone as she turned onto their street. She knew Josh didn't have many friends at school and, although there have been problems in the past, this was the first time he's gotten punched in the face.

"Nothing." He muttered under his breath. He sighed and leaned back into the seat. Though the ride home was a short one, it felt long to him.

"Okay..." She settled. Josh's mom knew he wasn't a talker and didn't want to push her son anymore so she dropped the conversation.

When the two pulled up to their house, they noticed a moving truck parked outside of the house adjacent to them.

"Looks like someone finally bought that place, huh?" The mother said to her son. He nodded in return, looking at the family unloading things from the vehicle.

"I'm going to go say hi. You get inside and relax, alright?" Josh nodded, getting out the car and walking into the house with his hands tucked away in his pockets and head down.

Josh got inside and watched his mom interact with the three member family from afar. He saw how they all smiled and laughed at the small comment his mother made. Eveb the boy that appeared to be the couple's son. They all looked so friendly and nice and happy. They all got along and Josh only wished he could be apart of that. Instead he was left with loneliness and conflicted thoughts. Sighing he went up to his room, putting on some music and taking a quick nap.

"Josh! Josh, dear!" He heard his mom calling. She sounded urgent, like she was in trouble so Josh shot up and ran to the stairs.

"Yeah! Everything okay down there?" He yelled back, his heart beating fast and a worried expression placed upon his face.

"Oh, yes I'm fine." His mother chuckled. Her son was such a worry-wort. "I just needed you up and dressed because the new family, the Joseph's, are coming over for dinner tonight and you're attending." She smiled at him. She truly loved her son and only hoped the best for him.

"Alright, ma." He replied, chuckling at himself. He really did get worked up for nothing. "I'll be down to help you make dinner in a second." He added, walking to his room and getting dressed in a dark blue flannel with black Vans and black pants. His hair was dyed like his flannel only a bit lighter and it made him smile lightly in the mirror. He admired his hair and thought it was cool how he dyed it sometimes.

The boy went downstairs and into the kitchen where he saw his mother cutting onions from the door. Walking over and washing his hands, he asked what needed to be done and got to work.

As Josh was helping his mom, he couldn't help but wonder what his new neighbors would be like. Would they be as nice and friendly as he saw them or would they not like him and never speak to him? And how would the boy treat him? Would he find Josh just as big as loser as everyone in school found him to be or would the son befriend him and be a good person? He was lost in thought and only hoped the dinner would go well. Though Josh was quiet and abnormal, he often wanted people to like him and couldn't help to over analyze things sometimes.

COOL, this is a Joshler :) It'll be better later on though, I promise. Hopefully this is liked because I had a sudden urge to do this and it's gonna be my first story that I'll actually keep up and update so, best wishes.

Tyler won't have any siblings in this story either, sorry. Just his mom, his dad and him.

Also, yeah, Beebo is a bully in here. (And yes, Josh only lives with his mom. Mr. Mike isn't Mike Fuentes either, just in case people thought that. He is an actual human being that works at my school who hates me but that's okay because the feeling is mutual. Though I used his first name and not his last so I could give him some credit) Alright, enjoy this mess! :0)
