"Josh! Come on! I want to to home!" Tyler whined, tugging on Josh's arm sleeve to get him to walk away from the school. They'd just got out for spring break and he wants to stay here?

"You better cater to your little boyfriend, Josh." Brendon chuckled, packing up his stuff. Josh smiled as well.

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Ty just hold on. Congrats on you and Ryan though! That's great news!" He explained, hugging Brendon. He shrugged.

"Thanks, dude. It's really awesome. I'll see you later, I actually have to get to him right now." Brendon gave the two a wave and began walking away.

"Now can we leave please, babe?" Tyler asked with a huge, hopeful smile.

"Yes, we can. Why are you in such a rush to leave anyways? It's not like we're doing anything." Josh started walking through the school's front doors and down the street to their house.

"So? I just want to spend time with you before we start stressing about homework." Tyler huffed. He'd been tired all day and just wanted quality alone time with his boyfriend.

"Alright, fine. We're getting burgers after though. I'm starving." Josh patted his stomach and Tyler wrapped his arms are Josh's middle and squeezed him tight.

"Your body is adorably cute." Josh laughed out loud.

"What the heck, Ty? You're loopy." He rubbed Tyler's back as they got close to the house.

"I'm tired, you mean? So hurry up and cuddle me, duh." Tyler joked, flopping on the near by couch. "Hello, Joan!" He called out. She'd been in the kitchen, looking at random magazines.

"Good afternoon, sweetheart! Make sure you get something to eat before you sleep!" She said, turning the page.

"Josh said he was gonna get burgers but I'm too tired!" He put his head on his arms.

"Well, you stay here and Josh and I will get us some. We'll see you soon, Tyler." She said, walking into the living room and kissing Tyler on top of the head before grabbing her purse and Josh then heading out. Tyler had become like a second son, or son in law, to her over the past year or so. He nodded and Josh cane over, kissing him as well.

The car ride over to the burger place was kind if silent and Josh had been scrolling through Twitter just to pass some time.

"So what do you plan on doing with Tyler for Spring break?" Joan spoke up.

"I'm not sure. My birthday is Wednesday so we'll probably go out for that. Why, what's up?" He locked his phone, focusing his attention on his mom.

"Nothing. I just know Jennifer was hoping to spend some time with him. She hasn't seen him in a while, you know."

"How come? I thought she invited him over that, uh, one time."

"That was last month, dear. You should encourage him to go see her more. She misses him." Josh looked out the window, feeling bad. He knew Tyler hadn't seen her in a while but he didn't mean to be the reason he was been kept away from his own mother.

"I can call her and ask if she'll come for dinner? Or I can ask if she wants to pick him up and go some place. That sounds good, right?" They'd arrived at the restaurant and got out the car, making their way inside.

"That sounds great." Joan said before ordering three cheese burgers to go. "How have you been? You and I haven't had a proper sit down ourselves." They sat down, waiting for their number to be called.

"Yeah, well. Don't always have the time. I'm great though. Everything's been going so well."

"That's right. School is going well too?"

"Yep. High school is lame though." Josh fiddled with his straw wrapper.

"Can't argue that." She chuckled.

"Order number 87! Order number 87!" The cashier called. Joan stood up and paid for the dinner while Josh stayed behind. She came back, asking if he was ready to go. He nodded and stood up with her, the both of them making their way to the car and enduring the car ride home.

When they got home, Tyler was still sleeping on the couch so they just put his burger on the counter for later. After he finished eating, he made his way over to Tyler, picked him up and brought him upstairs to the bed. While Tyler had been staying with them, he had the choice of his own room but he rarely went in there. Sleeping with Josh was better for him and Josh agreed.

Josh kissed Tyler's forehead and covered him with the bedspread. Tyler shuffled, slowly opening his eyes and reaching upwards.

"You're awake." Josh said, lying down next to him. "Your food is down stairs when you want it."

"Thank you. You okay?" Tyler rubbed his eyes.

"Yeah, yeah but, um. Why haven't you gone to see your mom? If it was because of me-"

"No, it wasn't because of you. I was just nervous, I guess. It's weird bonding with someone who's disowned you..." He trailed, moving closer to Josh and taking his hand and resting his head on Josh's shoulder.

"I know but, please try? My mom says she misses you. You should go to the mall with her or something. Just hang out, you know?" Josh rubbed his boyfriend's hands.

"Okay. Can we just relax for now though? I promise I'll call her in the morning." Josh smiled and nodded then grabbed his laptop so they could watch some Netflix.

A few minutes passed by of watching whatever silly series they were watching, Tyler lied down and pulled Josh down so he could rest on his chest.

"I love you, Josh. I really do." Tyler expressed and kissed the top of Josh's head. Josh slowly nodded as he was 90% asleep by now. Tyler shut the laptop and put it under the bed for protection, turning the overhead light in the process. He used this quiet and comfortable time to get some extra sleep, even though he'd taken a pretty long nap earlier.
