Tyler was pretty hesitant to go to school the next day which was expected. He did whatever he could to stay in bed but Josh wasn't having it. He had to literally drag Tyler out of bed in order for him to get ready.

"Why do I have to go, Josh?!" He whined, throwing himself backwards onto the bed below.

"Because it's school. Now get up and get dressed, babe." Josh said, laughing and pulling Tyler off the bed. He pouted and held onto Josh.

"But my face and stuff is all bruisey and gross and I don't want to. Besides... I'm scared." Tyler trailed.

"I know, Ty. But you'll be with me all day, okay? I won't let Justin touch you." Josh pecked Tyler's lips and gave him a small smile. "You're beautiful anyways, so don't worry about the bruises." Tyler blushed and giggled, hugging Josh and quickly getting dressed. He didn't want to waste anymore time and make them late.

Josh did exactly what he said he was going to do and had Tyler follow him to his classes all day. He knew Justin was in a couple of Tyler's classes and he didn't want to leave him alone with that ass of a person so he made him skip all of his.

Right now, they were in Mr. Mike's class which wasn't too fun. Mr. Mike was okay through half the class with Tyler being there but it seemed like he was getting more and more irritated with his presence as it went by. He kept looking over and making small grunts of frustration, making sure they weren't doing anything, getting distracted when he was teaching etc. It was all very annoying to Josh. What was so bad about Tyler being there? He wasn't disrupting anything.

"Josh, could I, uh, see you out in the hall real quick?" Mr. Mike said, clearing his throat. Josh sighed, standing up and following Mr. Mike out the door. As soon as they were outside the classroom, Mr. Mike got straight to business.

"Listen, I'm fine with Tyler being in class but don't you think you're being a little too protective? All he did was get jumped by some punk ass kid. I don't think that requires 24/7 surveillance."

"No offense, Mr. Mike, but I don't think you should tell me how to protect the person I love." Josh scoffed.

"Yeah, sure, Josh. Just don't do anything too drastic." Mr. Mike glared, ending the conversation and walking back into the classroom. He gave an evil eye to Tyler as he walked by and sat down in his desk. Tyler hung his head down low. He didn't mean to be such a burden.

When Josh came back Tyler didn't look up or even greet him again. He just sat there in silence.

"Hey, what's wrong?" Josh asked Tyler when there was a class discussion going on. All the noise masked their conversation.

"Nothing. I just don't want to bother Mr. Mike's class anymore." Tyler sighed.

"You're not. He's just being a dick about it. You're fine, I promise." Josh reassured him. He took his hand for extra effect.

"Okay." Tyler accepted. He sat there until the period was over and walked with Josh to lunch. Although, Tyler was still feeling down. He didn't talk all through the wave and when Kellin asked what was wrong, he simply shook his head and gave a fake smile. Soon, lunch was over and he was walking with Josh, again, to their next class.

"Ty, wait. What's the matter?" Josh stopped him.

"Nothing." Tyler muttered, continuing to walk down the hall. Josh just grabbed his arm, stopping him from walking any further.

"I know something's wrong. Tell me?" Tyler let out an exasperated sigh.

"Nothing, Josh! I just don't want to be here anymore. I just want to go home and sleep." He complained. Josh looked at him with wide eyes. Tyler had never yelled at him before so it was a weird feeling. He knew he didn't do anything wrong though; he was just tired and irritated.

"Okay, calm down." Josh said, bringing him over to the bathroom.

"I'm sorry..."Tyler began. He couldn't quite finish though because tears began to slowly stream down his face. "I just want to go home. I don't want to worry about Justin or anything anymore." Josh pulled him into a hug and rested his head on Tyler's shoulder.

"We can go home, babe. As long as you're okay."

"Thank you, Joshy." Tyler said, pulling out of the hug and adjusting his backpack. The two walked together out the doors and down the shortcut that lead outside of the school campus. They weren't too worried about getting in trouble considering there was literally one class left.

"Boys? What are you two doing home already?" Joan asked as they walked in the door. They smelled the aroma of brownies and immediately dropped their bags, running over to the kitchen.

"Tyler was sick." Josh lied. "Well, he's not anymore but that's what happened." Josh lied. Tyler laughed because Josh sucked so bad at lying and his mom knew it too.

"Yeah. I'm sure that really happened." Joan chuckled. "Just get your homework done, the both of you. Feel free to eat them." She added. "You don't have to drool over the goods." Joan finished, referring to the freshly baked brownies. The two boys celebrated by quickly digging into the deserts and going upstairs to do some light homework. Josh was really the one with the homework though since Tyler skipped all of his classes.
