As the week, and weeks, went by, Josh and Tyler grew a bit closer. That was actually an understatement, they grew really close.
They ended up having their last class and, obviously, lunch together so they were together there. They also walked to and from school together and hung out for a while at Josh's house afterwards making the two almost inseparable.
They had started their own routine and it was working for them so far. Currently, Tyler and Josh were walking to Josh's house.
"Wait, so, what do you want again?" Josh asked Tyler for the millionth time. They were on the topic of future tattoos.
"Oh my freaking God, Josh. I literally just told you." Tyler let out. He was frustrated but not seriously.
"Yeah but it's hard to understand when you describe it. Draw it for me when we get inside." He suggested.
"Fine, whatever." Tyler jokingly pushed Josh. "What do you even want?"
"I don't even know. The one I know I want for sure is a kick ass tree, you know?" Josh explained, unlocking and stepping into the house. His mom was at work for the day.
"Okay but why?"
"Why not?"
"True." Tyler got a napkin and drew his tattoo. "There. That's what I want." He held up the napkin that had his design scribbled on it. Three bold lines were on it, spaced apart with different lengths.
"Sick. You want that right across your arm?" Josh replied, looking up at Tyler.
"Yeah. Gonna be cool, I think." He said.
"Me too. Alright, let's go upstairs." The two went to Josh's room, throwing their bags in a corner and taking their places on the bed. Tyler took notice in the drum set that was sitting in the local corner.
"Do you even use that set, dude?" He asked, pointing to it. Josh looked over and shrugged.
"Yeah, sometimes. Why?"
"I don't know. You should play it now. I want to hear what you sound like." Tyler smiled. He wanted his bright idea to go into effect.
"What? No way. I don't even know what to play." Josh turned down. He's never played in front of anyone and he hasn't even picked up sticks in months. "I'm rusty anyways."
"Well, Rusty, I think you should play something anyways. It'd be cool." Tyler said, chuckling at his stupid dad joke.
"Your jokes are absolutely horrible." Josh laughed. "Alright, look, if I play you have to promise to get off my back."
"Deal, deal. Hurry up." Tyler rushed. He was too excited for Josh to delay. Josh sighed and got up, walking over to his drum set and picking up the two stick that were resting on the seat.
Josh cracked his knuckles and began hitting the drums until he found something he liked then went from there. It'd been about 10 minutes of drumming when he finally stopped and looked at Tyler. He was sitting there with a huge smile and wide eyes.
"Dang, dude. Don't laugh at me. Just say it was bad and get it over with." Josh told Tyler as he got up and set his sticks down, walking over to the bed and spreading out on it.
"But it wasn't bad! It was amazing! It was great! Superb!" Tyler exclaimed. He was overjoyed at how well his friend could play the drums. It was like he'd bee doing it for years.
"Alright, Ty." Josh laughed and patted Tyler's back. "Thank you."
"No problemo." He giggled. "Go to the football game with me tomorrow." Tyler told Josh. He was lying on the bed with him now too, relaxing into his side.
"What? No. Football games are boring. We don't even watch football." Josh put his arm around Tyler's waist and held him there.
Tyler smiled. He liked the position they were in right now. He felt comfortable and safe. "Duh. We can just like go over to the baseball field and chill out. That would be cool."
"Yeah, that's true. Alright, I'll go." Josh gave in. "Hey, how come your parents don't care you're over here so much?" He asked. That had been a burning question of his for the longest time.
"Eh. They're never home, really. They get home at like two in the morning so half the time they don't know I'm over here." Tyler shrugged. He hated that his parents were never there but, at the same time, he felt relieved by it. All his parents ever did was judge him and his decisions. He didn't want to hear that all day when he could be hanging out with Josh.
"Oh damn. I'm sorry, Ty." Josh felt bad. His mom was always there for him and she got off at four. He couldn't imagine what it was like to not see both of your parents for that long. "You're welcome to stay here whenever you want, you know. My mom likes you and I do too so..." Josh offered. He got quiet at the end but Tyler still heard it and smiled.
"Thanks Josh. Warning: I'm totally about to fall asleep on you so, later skater." Tyler concluded. And he kept his word. Within minutes he was sound asleep into Josh's side. Josh just chuckled and held Tyler tighter and took a quick nap himself.

short chapter, woo. I didn't even know what to add here so it's a filler.
I'm gonna add more fluff in the next chapter. That should be up by tonight and it'll be longer. Also, there legit won't be any like relationship type stuff in here besides cuddling and shit like that. They might be a kissing scene in here but it won't go too far because I have a whole ending planned out and it has to go that way? Oh well.
