"Happy birthday! Happy birthday, happy birthday, happy birthday!" Tyler squealed. He was practically squeezing the air out of Josh as soon as he woke up that morning.
"Thank you, Ty, thank you." Josh laughed and tried his best to hug the boy back but it was kind of hard considering he could barely move. "You're more excited about my birthday than I am."
"Yeah, well, your birthday is important. You're seventeen today!" He smiled brightly, finally letting go of his boyfriend. Josh let out an exaggerated sigh, thankful for a full breath.
"I know! The worst age ever! Close to being an adult, still a kid. Fun, fun, fun!" He mocked. Tyler pushed him and pouted.
"Shut up. You know you like your birthday."
"Not really. You being here makes it better though." Josh smirked and went in to give Tyler a kiss but Tyler put his finger up to stop him.
"Why don't you like your birthday, Josh?" He was pretty curious. Josh shrugged, not really knowing an answer to the question.
"I just think they're kind of crazy when you go all out. Seems self centered, you know? Time isn't real anyways so..." He left off. Tyler started laughing and shook his head.
"You're too stupid sometimes. Come here." He took Josh's face in his hands and gave his boyfriend a much needed kiss before getting up. "Let's go. Your mom wants me to bring you to breakfast. I mean, I want to take you to breakfast." Tyler said nonchalantly. Josh chuckled and stood up with him, being dragged out of the room.
Tyler led Josh to the bathroom where he lifted Josh's shirt over his head and placed a kiss on his lips before smiling and standing back.
Josh hummed. "What was that for?" He said with a pleased look on his face.
"Nothing..." Tyler mumbled. "But you should take a shower and," He pointed downwards, not even having to look at what he was talking about. "Fix that issue."
Josh looked down to see what exactly Tyler was talking about and face palmed. He couldn't help but notice a bulge in his shorts from his morning wood.
"Fuck. Sorry. I'm just gonna... Yeah. Later." He said in complete awkwardness then pushed Tyler out the door. Tyler was in a fit of giggles as he went back in Josh's room and got dressed.

"So what do you want for your birthday, babe?" Tyler asked before digging into his blueberry waffles."I don't really want anything. I'm just glad I could spend it with you and mom again." Josh shrugged, sipping some of his apple juice. Tyler smiled with his mouth full and nodded. It took him a while to swallow because he had so much food to chew. As Tyler worked on that, Josh was sitting there laughing and picking at his omelette.
"I'm glad I could spend another with you, too; it's nice. I also got you a present already." Tyler said, unbothered.
"You did?" Josh asked. He was pretty surprised since he didn't ask for anything.
"Yep. A couple of things. One's a really great one though, you know?" Tyler teased.
"Okay... Well can I know?" Josh asked anxiously. It wasn't everyday he was greeted with such suspense.
"No, you have to wait until later." Tyler giggled, taking care of the check when the waitress came by.
"But you made it seem so great. I wanna know, Ty!" Josh whined, standing up and grabbing his left overs. Tyler just shook his head and walked out the door, beginning to walk home.
"You're no fun..." Josh muttered. Tyler only grinned, thinking of how wrong Josh would be later on that night.
