dan's pov
i can't even imagine how eren is feeling right now. his best friend has just been torn from him in the most awful way.
he was currently sobbing on my shoulder, zelda's hand in his.
i hear the door creak open, but nobody flinches.
"hey, eren." phil whispers, sitting next to me.
"you're being so brave. you are so brave. you know that?" phil whispers, and eren nods against my neck.
"hey, look, i got you a kinder egg, you've always loved those." phil looks down and unwraps and snaps the chocolate, showing the toy inside.
"hey, the toy's name is laelynn. do you know what that is?" phil asks gently, pushing some of eren's hair behind his ear.
"it's a candian flower of hope. hope is something you definitely need right now sunshine, as well as lots of hugs." phil says, as eren collapses on his shoulder, fully sobbing. i see place a small kiss to his hair line.
phil has always been better at dealing with things like this than anyone.
even when we were teenagers.
i love phil. and everything he does.
