Each letter was put into a pile with other letters from that year, topped off with a different coloured ribbon to tie them all together.

Liam looked at them, tears in his eyes.

He was scared.

Chris had mailed them to Liam's house. The one no one knew about except for a few close friends. Liam didn't think this would happen. He didn't expect Chris to do this. To give up on him. Liam counted. There was one extra letter. Liam could tell it was a new one the moment he saw it. Liam took the letter and opened it.

By the time you'll have these the band will be on break and your fans will pray for your return. I hope you return. Just not to me. I am ready to let go.

I love you so much. You will never understand what you mean to me and I want to let you know that I will never forgot what we did. I will never forget what you've done for me. You can call. You can visit. But nothing will be the same. That is why I am telling you this. I love you so much. Nothing has ever made me feel as safe as you.
