Michael's POV
"Blair! Hurry up, love!" I yelled as I stood outside the bathroom door and waited for her to change."Shut up!" She shouted back causing a small grin to spread across my face.
"Fine but I'm leaving in-" I started but stopped once the door opened and out stepped Blair. "Wow-you look beautiful."
She looked down at her dark blue bikini and smiled. "Thank you." She spoke looking at my outfit. "Are you going to swim with a shirt on?" She teased.
I rolled my eyes but let her walk around me so she could slip on a cover up before heading towards the door. "Yes."
---
I groaned as I set the bag down into the hot sand. "Ugh! I'm already sweating and the sand is too hot."Blair rolled her eyes at me as she laid the blanket out in front of us. "Stop complaining. If your feet are that hot then go stand in the water."
"No!" I protested as I pulled my shirt over my head. "The water is cold."
At this Blair let out a loud laugh. "You wouldn't even know that. Also, this is Australia, the water is not cold." She spoke as she pulled off her cover up.
I made myself look away as she fixed her sunglasses and laid down on the blanket. I sighed and kicked my flip flops off before laying on my side so I was facing her.
"You're very snarky." I spoke.
"But you like it." She replied without moving.
"Mhm." I laughed.
I let my eyes fix on the little outline on Blair's side. It's been two months since that chaos and you can hardly see the scar anymore. I know she hates that scar and it's a constant reminder of the fear she felt that day and that pains me deeply.
If I hadn't been so reckless then she never would have been hurt. I could have prevented that pain and I've been thinking about that a lot. Now that she has got some normality in her life, I'd hate to take it away but I think she might be better off without me. She needs better care and if I can't prevent her from being stabbed then what good am I to her? It made my stomach tighten with the thought that my time with her might be up.
"Mikey?" Blair's sweet voice called me out of my thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah, babe?" I questioned as I squinted and realized she was now standing in front of me.
"I said I'm getting in the water, want to come?" She held her small hand out for me.
I smiled and quickly took her hand, neglecting to let it go as we walked to the ocean.
---
"Blair, enough!" I groaned in frustration as I dropped everything by the door and walk to the staircase with Blair following close behind."No! You can't just tell me something like that and expect me not to question it!" She shouted behind me.
Our day had gone from great to a living nightmare when I mentioned her staying with someone else, only for her own protection.
Now, I was tired, sunburned, and had sand in places sand should never be. All I wanted was a shower but Blair was persist to say the least.
"Why does it matter so much? Those guys are after me and if you are with someone else then you will be a hell of a lot safer!" I yelled as I turned around to look at her.
"Damn it, I want to be with you Michael!" She scream as she threw her arms to her sides like a child.
Even when she's as screaming with her lips pressed in a thin line and her face painted with a light shade of red from the sun, she is still stunning.
"Why, Blair?" I screamed back.
"Because!" She shouted as she frustratingly ran her hands through her hair before signing and looking me dead in the eyes. "Because I love you."
