Blair's POV
2 weeks later
Michael and I were sat on his couch with our freshly dyed blonde hair. Yes, we are both blonde now. Michael, of course, insisted on matching. I was too focused on the blonde stands of hair to actually focus on the lame movie we had picked.
"Hey!" Michael's overly excited voice came as he slapped my arm.
"Ow. What?" I laughed.
"Tomorrow you've been with me for a month." He spoke.
I looked over at him to see a smile plastered on his face.
"Hm. Is that so?" I questioned.
"Yeah. Are you sick of me yet?" He asked and raised his eyebrows as he leaned against me.
"Am I sick of you yet? Yet? I've been sick of you for the last month." I gave him a smug smile.
"Oh really?" He challenged.
"Really." I nodded.
Before I had time to stop him he had flipped us over so he was now straddling my hips and tickling my sides.
"Michael stop!!" I screamed as his fingers dug into my side.
"Not until you say I'm the best!!" He laughed hysterically.
"N-no! Stop it C-Clifford!!" I yelled as tears flooded my eyes.
"Say it!" He demanded in his fit of laughter.
"F-fine!" I shrieked. "You're the best!"
As soon as it came the tickling stopped. I closed my eyes trying to breath while Michael chuckled from above me.
"You suck." I breathed as I opened my eyes.
That's when I realized how close Mikey and I really were. I could have sworn his face was further away but I suppose I was wrong.
"You know Blair," he mumbled as his eyes fell to my lips and then back to my eyes. "You are perfect."
I bit my lip to stop the smile that was trying to take over. I hadn't actually notice how green Mikey's eyes were until we were this close. I mean obviously I knew they were green but it's not like I stare at his eyes for hours upon hours a day. Although now that I can see the emerald green I sort of wish I had.
Before my brain could process what was happening Mikey's hand found it's way to cup my cheek and he was moving closer. I closed my eyes just enjoying this moment, the peacefulness and the feeling of safety I have while I'm with this man.
Right as I felt his breath hit my face I jumped at the loud ringing coming from the kitchen.
"Shit." Michael cussed under his breath. He looked at me for a second before jumping off and rushing to the kitchen.
I sat there with my mouth agape and wide eyes, probably looking like a fish out of water. What the hell just happened? Or almost happened?
"What Ashton?" I heard Mikey spit.
I sighed as I laid back against the couch and closed my eyes. We almost kissed. Almost.

Mikey's POV
"What Ashton?" I hissed into the phone.
"Well hello to you too!" Ashton greeted, sarcasm dripping from his tone.
"Hi. Now, what do you need?" I spoke.
I was pissed at Ashton and myself. One, at Ashton because of his purely shit timing for a phone call and two, at myself for many reasons. I was dumb enough not to put my phone on vibrate and I almost just kissed the girl that I'm suppose to be protecting. If I had kissed her and someone were to find out, I'd be fired. Right? Now that I think about it I don't remember there being a rule against it but there must be.
"Mate, I need advice about Katie!" She rushed.
"About- who?" I said racking my brain of names.
"Michael! The girl I told you about, you idiot! She's still in Australia and I asked her out and I have no clue what to do!" Ashton's voice was clearly laced with panic and stress.
"Okay well first you need to calm the hell down. Second, take her out for dinner and a movie. That's what everyone does." I spoke as I pulled at my hair.
"That's exactly it! I don't want this date to be like every other one. It needs to be special." He yelled.
"Well fine. Then do something special." I mumbled absentmindedly.
"Ugh! I knew I shouldn't have asked you. I'm going to Luke's, at least Liz will help me." Ashton complained.
"Alright, have fun with that. Good luck, have fun, tell me how it goes." I mumbled the typical things that a supportive best friend would say.
"Yeah yeah. Thanks." He said before hanging up.
I groaned as I set my phone down, making sure to put it on silent. I stared at the ground as I let my mind run amuck. I almost just kissed Blair. Almost. But the thing is, I don't think I wouldn't have minded it if we had.
