Blair's POV
Over the past two weeks I've seen less and less of Mikey and more and more of Calum.
Michael claims that work has picked up and he always seems to either be at the office or in his office at the house.
Tonight was the first time I've seen him for longer than thirty minutes and to say it was beyond awkward would be an understatement.
"Thank you for dinner." I said quietly as I pushed my food around.
"Welcome." Michael mumbled.
I rolled my eyes at his short response. That's all I get out of him now and even though he's being immature and annoying, unfortunately, he is still in charge of what I do.
"So, I was thinking of hanging out with Calum tomorrow." I said before taking another bite of my dinner.
"Oh?" He spoke. "Calum?" He asked as if to confirm that he had heard correctly.
I looked up to see he had stopped eating and was now looking at me.
"Yeah, well he's going to the city and asked me to come with him." I smiled sheepishly.
"Well, I have the day off tomorrow." He spoke while looking at me through narrow eyes.
He wasn't seriously implying that he wants me to stay home just because he's got the day off, was he?
He's done nothing but ignore me since I told him how I felt and now he expects me to pretend that nothing happened so I can spend a day full of glares and awkward silence with him? No thank you.
"Oh cool. So, can I go with Calum?" I asked completely avoiding the reason behind his statement.
I watched as Michael furrowed his eyebrows and opened his mouth to speak but closed it in confusion.
He let out a long sigh before shaking his head. "No."
I dropped my fork before crossing my arms. "Why?"
"For one, you are not allowed out without my supervision. Two, the city is not a place that you need to be when people are looking to kill you. Three, you have been hanging out with Calum way too much." He spoke, holding out a finger Every-time he gave another reason.
"I've been out without you before," I started but stopped when I remembered I had purposefully kept that from him for a reason.
"The city is so busy no one will notice me and I have not been hanging out with Calum too much."
Michael groaned as he noisily pushed away from his chair and gather the dishes, bringing them over to the sink. "You aren't suppose to be out." He said through gritted teeth.
"I'm aware but come on. You're just going to ignore me all day anyways!" I challenged.
That took Michael by surprise but he quickly recovered. "I said no and that's it."
"Fine. Let's do everything your way like always!" I shouted as I stood to my feet, throwing my hands in the air just to show how annoyed I was.
Michael rolled his eyes before leaning back against the counter. "Enough Blair. Go upstairs and get ready for bed."
I mentally rolled my eyes as he once again ordered me around. "Screw you, Michael." I huffed before storming up to my lonely room once again.
