Blair's POV
I closed my eyes as Michael continued to stare at me after my confession. I hadn't meant for it to slip out of my mouth yet, hell I never planned on telling him.
When he said he was considering having me live and be under the protection of someone else in the company it was the only thing I could do.
Now, I stood here at the bottom of the stairs as Michael looked down on me.
Mikey let out a long sigh before looking me straight in the eyes. "No, Blair, you don't. You love that I saved you." He spoke carefully.
I had read of heartbreak in books, I had watched it in movies, I had even seen friends and family go through it. However, I never understood how it felt myself until now. Now, I stand here with my chest aching so much that I thought I'd be sick.
I opened my mouth to say something but I couldn't force words out of my mouth. So instead of speaking I stood there silently, instantly casting my eyes to the floor when Mikey's eyes met mine.
"It's getting late, we should probably go to bed." Michael spoke up.
I quickly looked up at him before nodding and rushing past him. I pushed the door to my room open and immediately went into the bathroom, starting the shower.
I quickly stripped as I waited for the water to warm up and jumped in.
Had that really just happened? I had just told Michael how I felt about him and he denied it. How can he tell me I don't love him? How could he ever understand how I fell about him?
My head was pounding and the walls were spinning. My legs felt like they were about to give out so I let them as I slid down the cold shower wall. When I finally couldn't hold it in anymore I let the sobs rack through my body. I lost track of how long I had been in the shower as the water went cold.
After shutting the water off and putting on a big shirt I threw the blankets back on the bed. For the first time in months I fell asleep alone.

I woke up to a gentle shake and a distorted voice.
"Blair, wake up." It called again.
"No." I mumbled.
"I'll jump on you." They warned.
"Shut up. I'm sleeping." I groaned as I rolled over.
I only had a few sweet moments of comfort before it was disrupted by a six foot-something body throwing itself on me.
"Oh my gosh!" I groaned in annoyance as I opened my eyes. "Oh." I let out as I saw the body on top of mine was Calum and not Michael.
All too quickly the memories of last night came rushing back causing my heart to break into a million pieces all over again.
"Good morning to you too!" Calum laughed as he rolled off of me and on his side.
"Hi Cal." I groggily spoke. "Where is-?"
"He said he had to go into work early for something." He explained as he rolled off the bed and stood up. "Now, I've made breakfast."
I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm sorry, you did what?" I stood up and quickly put a pair of leggings on.
Calum glared at me before leading us out of the room. "I'm actually a great cook. Give me a chance before you judge!" He joked as he nudged my arm.
I laughed as I fell in step with him on the stairs. "Well, the house is still standing so I suppose you're okay."
He rolled his eyes but pulled out a chair for me. Calum alway seemed to be prepared. He had everything already set out and ready to eat. I wouldn't admit it but the crape with strawberries and whipped cream in front of me looked amazing.
"Stop looking at it and eat it." Calum spoke already digging in.
"Fine but if I die, this is your fault." I spoke before picking up my fork and taking a bite.
Calum watched intently as I chewed and then looked up at him. "Damn it, you're good." I stated leaving a large smirk on his face.
