Mikey's POV
I sighed as I slammed my laptop shut accidentally. I hadn't meant to nearly shatter the screen but the pent up frustration of knowing I had to go in to work and talk to Liam was taking over me.

I put my head in my hands but only for a minute before my head shot up at the sound of Blair's loud screaming.

I stood up so quickly that it caused the chair to clatter to the floor but I couldn't care less as I rushed up the stairs and into my room.

"Blair? Babe, what's wrong?" My eyes were wide as she had tears streaming down her face and he hand pressed firmly to her side with blood peeping through her fingers.

"M-Mikey, shit! I-I accidentally bumped it and it started bleeding and it really fucking hurts!" She gripped.

My eyes widened at her language, not that I cared I just hadn't heard her swear very often.
"Okay okay! Uh-" I scrabbled to find her medication. "Take this for pain and give me a minute to get things!" I rushed, handing her the pills and racing to the bathroom to get the first aid kit.
Where the fuck did I put this thing? Closet? "Yes!" I mumbled before rushing back to Blair with a warm towel and the first aid kit.

I stopped halfway when I looked to Blair. She had already discarded her shirt and had her head thrown back trying to swallow the pills.

"Mikey stop staring at my boobs and help me." She pouted.

I looked down as I laughed a bit. "Sorry." I mumbled walking over to her and beginning to clean up the wound.

Although Blair was used to being practically naked in front of people it was something I would never get used to. I didn't lust after the beautiful girl when I saw her naked, I simply wanted to be there for her.

"So-" I began. "Can I ask a personal question?" I asked as I looked up to see her eyebrows knitted together.

"Yeah, sure." She shrugged.

I hummed as I replaced the red gauze with a pure white one. "When I first got you, you were extremely concerned about your family's safety-" I stopped to see if she was listening.

"Mhm." She hummed as she watched my movements.

"But I want to know, if you are so close with them then why were you living in New York alone working at a gentlemen's club just to survive?" I questioned, hoping I wasn't pushing her too far.

She sighed as she laid back on the bed and examined my finished work. "You don't have to be close with them to care. Thank you by the way." She nodded to the gauze.

I nodded not wanting to force her to talk, although I knew if I was pushing her she would say something to me.

"My parents always thought I was the rebel child and ragged on me constantly for every little thing I did." Blair surprised me by saying. "So I left as soon as I could with a few of my friends. We went from Vermont to New York planning to get jobs right away. We could afford the smallest apartment but not for long. My friends bailed and went crawling back home but I refused. I took the only job I could get and actually made some good money. Somehow my family found out and disowned me faster than I could say sorry."

My heart felt like it was being squeezed tightly. We both stayed silent while I processed everything she had just informed me of.

"Wow-" I said quietly. "Blair, I had no idea." I spoke as I met her gaze.

She let out a little laugh as she shrugged. "I thought it was your job to know everything about me?" She asked with a quirked eyebrow.

I laughed as I put my legs up on the bed. "It is and apparently I suck at my job."

"Yes you do." She quickly agreed in a joking manner before nudging my arm with hers. "Are you done being mad at me?"

Her question took me by surprise and I sighed. "Babe, I was never mad at you. I was shocked by your statement and I was pissed that I had allowed you to get hurt. I took it out on you and I am extremely sorry." I spoke while I held eye contact.

She nodded and scooted in closer to me. I quickly draped my arm around her shoulder so she could comfortably lean against me. "I don't like when you're mad."

"Me neither, love."
