Been In a Touring Band For Going on 10 Years

Vic POV

"Wake up or else you'll be behind schedule" I heard someone say and I sat up quickly. I bumped my head into someone. "Sorry" I said.

"Finally you wake up" Alex says. I should have known it was Alex. She was on top of me.

"How did you wake up before me?" I said still half asleep.

"You set an alarm clock that I had to turn off and you didn't wake up so I spent five minutes trying to wake you up" she says.

"Are we really behind schedule?" I asked.

"No but you will be if you don't get ready" she says smiling.

"How can I get ready if you're on top of me?"

"You didn't mind it last night" she says as she gets off of me.

"Shut it Shortie." I changed to pants and a shirt.

"I'm not that short I'm average" she says.

"5'0 is short."

"I'm 5'2."

"Shortie. I'm going downstairs." I was about to ask her but she was in her underwear and still getting ready.

"At least I'm not as short as you're dick" she yells.

"What about dicks?" Jaime asks.

"Nothing" I said chuckling. I went to go help them put our equipment inside the bus.

"Is Alex going to be one of our photographers?" Tony asks and I shake my head. After a long time of putting equipment on the bus, we finally finished.

"I guess I'll see you in a few months." Alex clears her throat. "I'm going to miss you" she said.

"I'm going to miss you too but don't forget to Skype me" I said.

"I'm not, I love you" I kiss her.

"I love you" I smile. She hugs me and I sway as we hug. We say our goodbyes and leave off.

Alex POV

"What are you talking about?" I asked Melody.

"I'm saying that there is this guy who can control minds and we're going to try to capture one of the Killjoys aka the people so we can know more about the guy." Melody explained the shorter version.

"What are we going to do because no one has attacked us yet so that's good. Maybe he's giving up." I said and Melody started to laugh.

"You think he's giving up" she says continuing to laugh. "Alex, he's worse than Ivy." Worse than Ivy, that's not good.

"Why didn't you tell me this earlier?"

"You were on your birthday date and I didn't want them to get involved." She knew about that and I didn't find out until- yeah because it was my birthday surprise.

"Why can't we just ask Lizette?" I asked.

"She needs a chance at having a normal life and we can't risk her life." Melody said sounding annoyed.

"Ok, have you guys found her parents yet" I asked.

"About that her dad was reported dead yesterday."

"Does she know yet?"

"No but I'm going to tell her today."

"How about her mom, is he alive?"

"Yeah so hey at least she's not completely alone."

"I'll tell her" I said.

"Really" Melody said and I nod. "Thank you because I hate delivering bad news."
