Something's Gotta Give

Vic POV

I woke up before Alex, I checked the time and it was really early. I tried to get out of bed without waking Alex. She is a light sleeper so if I make a tiny sound she would wake up. I quickly got out of the house. The sun hasn't come out yet so I have time to get some food. Should I drink animal or human blood? Let's go with animal because it would be less messy. I sped anywhere I thought might have an animal and I found a barn with sleeping cows. I'm going to hate this but I need to end this hungry for a while before I think any one is food.

I grabbed one of the cows and sink my fangs into its skin. The cow's blood tasted so good, my face was covered in blood especially around my mouth. Maybe one more wouldn't hurt. I can't believe I'm actually do this. I grabbed another cow and sucked the blood out of it. I should stop before I go crazy with blood. I dried myself off in a lake that was next to the barn. I don't know where I am and I need to get home before the sun comes out. I ran home and it took me many tries because I was lost. Luckily I was home before the sun came out.

"Vic" I heard Alex mumble from the room. I walked upstairs and went to the room. I lie in bed with her and she looks at me with a worry expression on her face.

"Why do you have that face?" I ask her.

"You have blood around your mouth" she says pointing to my mouth. I thought I wiped it off. I went to the restroom and wiped the blood off. "Why do you have blood around?"

"I was bleeding because of a lip cut or something." I said looking at the mirror to check the stain was gone.

"Are you ok?" Alex said putting her arms around my waist.

"Yeah why do you ask?" I said kissing her forehead.

"You've been acting weird" She narrowed her eyebrows.

"Don't worry about it." I cupped her cheeks.

"If something's bothering you then you can tell me."

"I'm fine" I said making a fake smile.

"You don't have to tell me." she says kissing my cheek.

"Alex wait. It's just that I'm...fine."   

"I'm going to make breakfast" she left. Way to go Vic, you sure didn't fuck up. I splash water on my face.   

Alex POV

I went downstairs to make breakfast with the help of Tony. Something is different about Vic. I don't know what it is yet, but I'll figure it out. I'm going to try to make it better for him. I dropped a plate when I was going to put it on the table.

"What's wrong?" Tony says looking worried.

"Brendon is here." I could tell that Tony thought I was crazy because of his face. His face held a confused expression and he was staring at my eyes.

"Brendon?" Tony murmured.

"I'm just going to pick the plate up and let's pretend this never happened." I said picking the plate up and smiling. "You know what I should do" I said getting an idea and changing the subject.

"What?" Tony said continuing to put the plates on the table.

"Dye my hair, but what color should I do this time?" I told him. Dying my hair relaxing me for someone reason.

"Maybe a relaxing color like green" he said putting the food on the plates.

"Ok, I'll buy one" I said. "Where is Mike and Jaime?"
