You Gotta Be Kidding Me

Alex POV

"Hey Alex" one of them greeted me.

"Hey, do I know you?" I felt like that sounded rude, but I really didn't know who they were.

"Yeah this is Melody and I am River" I shook their hands. River was curvy, short, but taller than me, long brown hair, and green eyes. Melody seemed shy, tall, green hair, and brown eyes. They both had a scar on their palm.

"Aqua send us here and yes I mean your mom" River said. Are they joking with me? Are they serious? You can't just do that to me man. "I know you have a lot of questions, but you will get them answer later."

"My mom died!" I said and I was in shocked that they got her name right.

"I know she is and I'm sorry. We couldn't save her." Melody finally spoked.

"Are you guys messing around with me? Do you think this is a joke? If this is just a prank, just tell me. Are there cameras here?" I blurted out looking around for cameras or hints that they were messing around.

"No and no, we came here to protect you." River stated. "Can we talk in private?" River said.

"No, you can tell me what you need to say in front of them" I said.

"I get that you have mixed emotions right now, but if you wish for them to be there it's fine." Melody said politely.

"This is what you basically need to know that there is someone after you, we are here to protect you, and be careful who you trust. I know you don't trust us yet but we will gain it. Your brother, Brendon, he can't know just yet. Here is a letter from Aqua, it will explain everything well some things." River explained and handed me a letter. It read and it had her handwriting and everything. This can't be a prank or can it?

Dear Alexandra,

By now you will know that people are after you and that River and Melody are your protectors. You can trust River and Melody because I trust them, they are my best friends. I know they won't do any harm to you; I even put them to the test without them even knowing. Yes I had a different life before I met your father believe it or not. My life was filled with magic, evil, good, and other things that you might think are mythical. Your brother is safe because he doesn't carry the gift you have. You know that scar you have behind your ear yeah that isn't a birthmark but a symbol. Try to keep him safe even knowing that he is because he might be oblivious to the situation and get himself killed. I tried so hard to make sure that you and your brother didn't have that gift, but I was caught off guard and now you have it. I truly apologize for putting your life in danger, but its time to fight against the evil. I don't mean robbers and rapist more like demons or spirits things like that. Don't tell Brendon about this until it is a matter of life and death. You are probably wondering what gift and what is she talking about, you will find out soon. Just let Melody and River guide you through. A day will come when you are on your own so prepare yourself and take all the knowledge you get from them or anyone as a matter of fact. After you read this letter, your life won't be the same. I know you can do this because you are a strong girl you always have been and continue to be. Just be careful and keep yourself, Brandon and everyone around you safe. Your father and I love you and Brendon.

When I was done reading the later I didn't know I had tears on my eyes and Vic was hugging me. "Okay, I'm listening" I dried my tears and put on a confident face. "Let's sit in the table" we all sat on the table.

"There is someone you need to look out for this evil one, she is the forest spirit, and she is in this world I think she goes by Gigi" Melody said. My eyes widened when I heard what her name was. Vic grabbed my hand and squeezed it a little. Could it possibly be the same one that I think she is talking about?
