"Why are you freaking out and acting all suspicious? Just calm down and everything will be okay," Russell meant to sound somewhat comforting but he was talking to me in a harsh tone, more like warning me not to act suspicious.
"Russell, I'm sorry, it's hard, I'm not like this," I confessed to him.
"You're not used to being the dirty whore, are you?" He challenged, taking a sip of his scotch. He offered me some but I declined, already stressed out enough.
I rolled my eyes in irritation. "What did you just call me?"
"Nothing," He answered, innocently, putting his hands up. I sucked my teeth and shook my head. Maybe I could try and give Russell an idea on what I was experiencing.
"We had sex last night..."
Russell cut me off before I could even keep talking, and held up his hand to stop me, "I really don't want to know about that..."
"Just let me finish," I rationalized with him. "He could already tell I was doing different things. I called him daddy and I had never done that before... And I was acting suspicious. It's so hard to be honest with him, Russell. He's so nice and sweet and pure... He trusts me and I am sleeping with another man. I don't expect you to understand."
He swirled the dark liquid around in his glass, looking at me, before setting it down on the counter. The corner of his mouth turned up in a small smirk and he snorted. "I've only fucked you once... And you're already picking up new tricks? He's a lucky man. I'm doing good things for your relationship. Well... The sex part." I could tell he was about to get really rude with me.
"You know that's not what I mean," I told him, shaking my head.
"I understand what you mean I just don't give a damn about your fucking relationship," he snapped, throwing a shot of more liquid down his throat, before pouring some more into the glass. "Anything you do that ruins your relationship... That's your own damn fault, not mine, not anyone else's but you. If you feel uncomfortable that's on you. You have to deal with the consequences alone, that's life, I know it's shitty."
"Do you know? Do you know anything about how life is 'shitty'?" I questioned him, raising my voice. I leaned against the counter, tapping my hand impatiently. "Huh, Mr. PrettyBoy? Considering it seems like everything has been fucking handed to you... I don't think you know shit about how life is shitty."
He laughed and shook his head, drinking his fourth, before pouring another glass. He should be getting drunk soon. I had never seen Russell drunk before and if he was an asshole sober, he would most likely be even worse drunk. "You think I would like the whole world to know that I was the one broke up your guys' precious relationship? Please, I don't have time for that shit."
"Well, he ordered court side tickets to your game in two days so don't do say anything to him," I warned, narrowing my eyes at Russell.
"Why would I want to say anything to your prissy boyfriend?" Russell snapped. "It's not like I want to be with you or anything. And I'm sure as hell not going to fucking fight over you. You aren't that special, don't get your hopes up, Monica." I shook my head and bit my lower lip.
"I didn't say anything like that and I wasn't thinking that," I grabbed my purse and put it over my shoulder. "I don't want you to say anything, got it?"
"Why do you think I would?" He asked.
"Because you're crazy," I answered him honestly, walking towards the door. I felt him grab my wrist and pull me towards him. He grabbed my waist and slid me back into him, his lips meeting mine. I could feel he was very excited. Our lips moved together and our tongues danced passionately. He soon parted and stared at me, lust and deviousness full in his dark brown eyes. His eyes were enough to drive me crazy.
