I was training the newbies when my phone started to vibrate. It was an e-mail, so I decided to ignore it.

"Everyone stop!" I barked gaining everyone's attention.

"How many of you here knows how to shoot, raise your hand." I gained some incredulous look, but only half of the group raised their hand. "Good, I bet you all remember Claire? She'll be examining your skills for the ones that know. And for the rest come with me!" I ordered and started to walk.

Again the group was separating, the strong and the weak. It was always easier to train the weak into someone's expectations.

"Since you guys don't know how to use a handgun, we will start with an easy one, a 0.22 caliber. Everyone pick one and go by the line and only start to shoot when there's no one in front of you. Try your best to hit the paper." I ordered showing the handguns, the lines, and the targets.

For a while, I looked at how they used the guns. Many of them tried to fire with only one arm or with one eye closed. Except one, Michael Cromwell, he shot and missed, but I could tell that he was doing it on purpose 'cause his stance and precision were perfect.

It's starting to get suspicious. I would tell Matt to look on him as well since he was about to tell me about this Alexander...

I sighed. Then I told everyone to stop and explained how to use it correctly. Of course, I used Michael as an example. He was trying to make some mistake, but he couldn't fool me. I already saw what he was truly able to do.

I let them train with it a bit longer before I decided to call it a day.

"You guys, run to your quarters and don't stop before you enter the house. And if I were you, I wouldn't try to stop before reaching it... I have eyes and ears everywhere." I ordered with a sadistic smile. "I need a new toy to play with."

Everyone went running as fast as they could. I guess I scared some of them. I walked to where Claire was.

She was pointing the gun on someone forehead and she seemed really mad.

"Explain to me why I should spare your life?" she started her voice so cold I could think I was in Siberia.

"P-please forgive me! It was an accident!!" the man begged while crying of fear.

"Doesn't seem like one to me." she put her finger on the trigger.

"P-please! Give me a second chance! I wi..."

There was a loud noise and no more pleading. I sighed. I was really glad that I was on the same side as her.

I walked up to her and patted her shoulder. "When you'll feel like it, you can let them go. I'll wait in the car." I murmured before going to the car.

As I waited I took out my phone. I went to check the emails that were sent to me. Some were rubbish, others were messages about wanting to hire me and the last one was from an unknown email.

I opened it and there were only five words.

We will be reunited soon.

I chose to ignore the message and called Matt. He didn't answer. That was strange, he always answered his phone. It was a part of him.

Suddenly Claire entered the car and she told me to hurry and go back to the main house. Without questioning her, I drove back as fast as the car would let me to, I was driving at 200km/h. Even with that speed, Claire told me to go faster. At the end, we were back at the main house in 10 minutes when it would usually take 45 minutes.

The sight of it surprised me. There was a part of the house exploded and burned.

"FUCK! What the hell happened here?!" I barked as I got out of the car.

I loaded my gun and slowly went into the house, Claire behind me. When we entered it, there was no gunshot, no screams. Nothing, only a burned smell.

Without thinking, I ran to Master's office to only find it empty. It was the same for our room. After a while, we both scouted the house and not even a fly dared to adventure here. For a moment, the worst thought came to my mind. Either he was dead, kidnapped, tortured, burnt alive or...

Maybe he was safe, damn I hope he was! Please, I don't want to see him for the last time as a corpse... Or I didn't know what I would do. Losing another person would be unbearable. I bet my father would be disappointed, disgusted on how weak I had become because of a man.

"They are surely in the safe house." murmured Claire into my ear making me beam.

"You lead the way." I answered with hope as I now followed Claire into a part of the house I had never seen.

Amazingly, this part of the mansion was intact. We walked until we meet a dead end. Claire walked to the wall and did something with it before a small hole, big enough for a man to pass, opened.

As we entered in, the hole in the wall automatically closed.

In there, everything was dark. Too dark, there was no way anyone could walk in there without some light.

Then there was a loud sound and something cold touched me in the back of my back.

"Don't move or I'll shoot." said a voice I immediately recognized.

"Identify yourself." he said slowly trailing the gun to my head.

"I'm Nyx, Master." I answered.

"Prove it." Derek snapped.

He wanted me to prove who we were? But how were we supposed to do that? Shit, I supposed we were already surrounded and even if I found a way to escape, I still have a chance to get shot.

Then an idea came to my mind, but I only had to hope it would work or I was dead meat.

"May I turn myself?" I asked.

"No."

"Then can you ask Matt, Chris, Damon or Logan who is beside you to guard me and you, Master, can come in front of me."

I had no response, so I waited, hoping he wouldn't refuse. Then I felt some hot air in front of me. He was close, close enough to do what I had planned.

I was about to take a step forward when I only saw white and heard a very loud sound.
