Hello, everyone! This is a quick update on how the Quality Control Inspection is going to work.

(-o-)(-o-)(-o-)

1. Due to the large influx of fics, the staff will only inspect fics once they have a word count (unless they are Oneshot or crossover).

2. Judges are not going to start reading fics until they are complete and pass Inspection, so don't wait until the last minute to mark your fic complete and check if your fic passed inspection.

3. If you see that your fic has not passed inspection, please look at the reason why and try yourself to fix it before coming to us.

4. If you don't understand our reasoning or feel you have fixed the error, please private message us.

Before entering your fic, we recommend running your story through a free grammar checker or having another person proofread it for you. We are often blind to our own shortcomings, so getting an honest second opinion is optimal before entering.

If we find you have fixed the issues we spotted, your fic will become eligible for judging. However, we might find new things you need to improve. It's up to you to take our advice and improve, though; we don't have the time to be editors, and will ignore you if we see you clearly making no attempt to fix the issues.

Before the deadline, we'll do one final quality check to see if non-passing fics now pass. The fics that still do not pass will be deleted, and will not move on to be judged.

I hope this makes our Inspection System easy to understand. Remember, this is just for readability and grammar. We won't judge content—that will be saved for the judging.
