8/24/19 - Summer Live Stream Raffle + Next Steps

Hello competitors!

I want this announcement to serve as a friendly reminder that our summer raffle is ending September 1st. Please make sure your entry is complete and has passed inspection in order to get a chance to be featured on the results live stream! I recommend submitting your completed entries now so that d_s_t_e (our inspector) has enough time to review your entry.

With that said, I'll be starting the administrator selection process. Keep in mind: I'll be consulting multiple members of the community to ultimately make the decision on who is to be the next administrator. I would rather take the opinions of someone who will be on Wattpad during this administrator's time with the PWA rather than mine (Sheare) or Maple's (d_s_t_e), who won't be here during the administrator's time. 

I will input one preference that I hope most of you would find reasonable. I do want this administrator to be older--the older, the better frankly. The PWA has dealt with very adult issues the past year, and if I personally couldn't handle it very well, I can't imagine how a minor would have handled it. It's a shame that the administrator role has to be this way. If you're younger, I encourage you to apply anyway. There's a chance that a duo-administrator system might happen or you may be considered for a staff position.

The selection process will be over the next couple of months. Some of you may think this is a little too early, but please remember that judge selection would happen in November for PWA 2020 this year. It's also important that I get the administrator after me familiar with how I personally run things (although if the administrator chooses to just not follow any of this, that wouldn't matter). 

There will be two forms.

The official Administrator Application (linked here via an in-line comment).

The Administrator Nomination Form (linked here via an in-line comment).

The first form is like a general application for whoever wants to be the administrator. You do not need a certain number of nominations or followers or anything like that. 

The second form helps me gauge the thoughts of the community. While this form's primary purpose is to nominate an individual for the role, it also helps me gauge what kind of person you would want in the event the person you nominated doesn't want to be an administrator. You'll see this with the question "What kinds of changes would you like to see within the PWA?" Maybe someone who you didn't nominate matches your opinion in the Administrator Application--this can factor into the decision process.

You will be allowed to nominate up to three people on the nomination form. 

The earlier all of you can fill out these forms, the better. And please keep in mind: anyone can be the administrator of this account. You can be a small user. A popular user. A user that just writes. A user that just reads.
