Hello competitors!
It's about summertime, the most productive months for writing now that school is coming to a close. To take advantage of such a prime time of the year, the PWA will be hosting a raffle during the summer months! While the raffle's submission period is not here yet, I wanted to announce this early just in case someone enters April 30th and agonizes over the fact that they can't be entered into the raffle starting May 1st.
If you enter a completed work and pass inspection, you will have a chance to have your book featured on our results livestream agenda! If you are unaware of our results livestream, being on the agenda means that your entry is discussed. You will receive criticism directly from our judges for the year. For more information on how the agenda works, visit our Results Video Book.
With that said, here is how you enter:
- Every completed book that has passed inspection will be counted as 1 entry in the summer draft
- If you submit multiple books, you can receive multiple entries in the draft
- In the event you have multiple books, you will be able to select which book will be placed on the agenda if you win
- In order to be entered into the draft, you must submit your entry before September 1st at midnight EST
- If you have entered a book prior to May 1st (the date this draft starts) and it is incomplete, completing it and passing inspection during the summer months will count as an entry in the draft. However, books that have already been completed and passed inspection prior to May 1st will not be entered in the draft
- The winner of the livestream agenda spot will be randomly selected
- Here's the catch though...if we reach 35 completed entries that have passed inspection by September 1st, we'll be drafting TWO winners. If the total amount of entries is under 35, only ONE winner will be selected. So tell your friends and encourage them to enter!
We hope that this will provide a bit of an incentive to get writing this summer! ;)
