It's break time now, so I think I should go and make some new friends. I walk up to a group of cool looking people when I recognise that one of them was in my astronomy class.

"Hey," I say to no one in particular as I stand in the middle of their circle.

"Hey," replies the guy who was in my astronomy class. He's wearing a leather jacket. "It was cool how you stormed out of astronomy. We don't think Miss Terry has any qualifications or anything."

"Cool."

"I heard your name is Sunita," he says. "That's cool."

"Yeah, I know, right? It's cool."

"Cool."

The group's conversation resumes as I continue to loiter in the circle's centre. After a couple of minutes, the astronomy guy speaks to me again in his leather jacket.

"I'm Adam, by the way."

"That's a cool name. I'm Sunita."

"Cool. I'm Adam. Hey, do you want to meet up at lunch? I go to this cool club on Mondays. You should come along."

"It sounds cool, I'll go," I tell him, excited to be making new acquaintances. "I'm Sunita. Do these guys go too?"

"No, just me out of this group," Adam says. "Speaking of these guys, I'd tell you their names, but you wouldn't remember them anyway. I doubt they'll be a massive part of your life so it doesn't matter."

"Alright."

He then tells me that we should meet up in this exact place so he can take me. "We should meet up in this exact place so I can take you. I guess I'll see you then."

The bell rings and the group disbands. I think about the extras in Adam's friend group. What are their thoughts, their hopes, their dreams? Thinking about this just goes to show that everyone has their own story. Wondering why lessons at this school only seem to be about five minutes long, I make my way to English class.
