"Good morning, everyone," says my new teacher. "My name is Mr Badwoman. I'm your form tutor for this year and I'm looking forward to seeing you at 8.34am every school day for the next few months."
I look to my left and see that the dreamy cute boy's seat is next to mine. This day keeps getting better!
But wait, what's this? There's an angry bleach blonde glaring at me out the window.
Donna Moscatello.
She's the dreamy boy's girlfriend. She's jealous because I'm in the same form class as her boyfriend, and she's stuck with Miss Natraskadeladorian in room E33128740. I'd better watch my back in this jungle they call a high school...
The blinds fall down and block her unnecessary face from my view. I shrug and lean over to whisper to the girl on my right. She has no arms. Unfortunately, I can't attract her attention. Actually, she hasn't moved in a while...
I forget about her when the boy hands me a note. It says: "what class do you have next? ;)"
Oh. My. Unspecified deity. He wants to know my next class?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
I look at my timetable. I chose some cool looking classes that I saw on the "special" section of the pamphlet, because I didn't want to do the normal, boring lessons like English, science, or learning how to cook a potato. They still made me take three "real subjects" but at least I get some stupid ones too.
I write on the piece of paper: "astronomy!!11!"
I give it back to him and then wait for the response. Mr Badwoman is droning on in the background, talking about college readiness or something. I wonder if his wife left him yet.
He wrote on the note: "aw, I have biology. Soooooooooo boring right?"
He winks at me and in this moment I swear we are infinite.
He gives me another piece of paper.
"By the way, call me Zac ;)"
Suddenly the girl next to me with no arms starts making weird choking noises. We all leave and go to our next class. I wonder who will be in my astronomy...
