Today in homeroom, everyone is more talkative because we heard there's going to be a special announcement. Mr Badwoman is late so everyone is waiting in antici...

...

...pation.

I ask Zac what his plans are for tonight. "What are your plans for tonight?" I ask Zac.

He leans over to me... a little too close???!!?

"I have football practice with the guys. Do you want to come or something?"

I would be stupid to say no to this amazing opportunity.

"No."

Sometimes I like to play hard to get.

He looks surprised but smiles and says that the offer is still there in the future if I ever want to watch them run around and throw an egg shaped ball.

In my last school, I was the head cheerleader, so I was very close to the football team. Granted, the oldest member of the cheer squad besides me was 11, but I was a star regardless. And maybe the football team only had three members but one of them was mildly popular, aka he sat next to a cool guy in geography class. Maybe I should go to cheer tryouts when they are announced in order to regain my status as the most popular girl in school. Outshining Donna sounds great right about now.

Then, Mr Badwoman cycles into the room. "I'm so sorry I'm late everyone. I have some tragic news."

Everyone looks at each other in confusion, but no one looks at the girl with no arms because she is not there.

Mr Badwoman wipes away a single tear. "Sally has gone missing."

Once again, everyone is puzzled. The teacher sighs.

"The girl with no arms."

"Ahhh," we say collectively. First she was making choking noises and now she's missing? This is so exciting you guys!!!!

Then it's the end of homeroom and I have to go to Astronomy. Apparently in a lot of American schools, you have the same classes at the same time every day for the whole semester, and then in the next semester, you forget those classes ever happened and you start new ones. Education.

I hope the author of the book has some original ideas for the oncoming days' lessons, because otherwise it's going to be very repetitive.

Wait... the author of this book... this is Mrs Nightcast's fanfiction...

Am I real? Is the author Mrs Nightcast? Is she real? If she's not real, this book isn't real??? That means this is real life? So I am real? So the interaction with my English teacher really happened? So she did write the fanfiction after all? So am I even real? Is the author Mrs Nightcast?

My head hurts.
