"Wait, wait, you've been selling things to the government?"

Abby nods and twists her hair with her finger. "Yep."

"Does it matter?" Tucker groans from his seat and rubs his face. "No, because I am about to STARVE to death. Okay? Does everybody hear that?"

"You've been selling your inventions and blueprints to the government to get money?" I ask again. "Do they know it's you?"

She rolls her eyes. "Yeah, because the military would spend thousands of dollars to buy something from a teenage girl who lives in a shack in the woods. No, of course, they don't know it's me!"

"How do you do that? Don't tell me there's a sign-up sheet or something."

She snorts and shakes her head. "No. I hacked a billionaire's bank account, contacted the government as them, and they think it's them the entire time. I have a very complicated process, and because it's so complicated, I don't do it much. But," she adds with a grin. "One or two things sold to them will be enough to cover our financial need for years."

"Years?"

"Years."

"Food." Tucker moans.

"Pretty cool, huh?" Abby grins, leaning back in her seat. She motions to the cockpit around us. "I would love to see all the zeroes at the end of the check for this baby. When it's done at least. It wouldn't be as much now. No proper security system, weapons, maintenance, not very fast yet..." Her voice trails off and she shrugs. "And a few other things."

"That's amazing." I give a quiet laugh, brushing my tangled hair with my fingers as a makeshift hair brush.

Abby sighs and runs her hand over the dashboard. "Do you know what Cody plans on doing now? I mean, we've been up here for at least day or two and we haven't done anything. We're going to have to land soon don't want to crash. This baby can't run forever without a pit-stop."

"We haven't run into any aliens either," Cameron adds, tugging on his hoodie strings.

"And we also haven't run into any food," Tucker holds his hand up to the ceiling, as if expecting food to fall from the sky. He flops his hand down and rubs his face. "Nothing has happened and I'm so bored." He groans, making Cameron roll his eyes.

I would argue with him if it weren't true, but we were all getting hungry and restless. You can only wander around the plane so many times before you start getting bored, no matter how interesting it is. "Cody hasn't said anything," I answer Abby's question. "Not to me."

She makes a face. "Joy."

I slouch down, watching the fluffy clouds pass. There's something else Cody hasn't told me about. I hinted at my fire to him, trying to get him to fess up. I know about it, but I want to hear it from him. Abby said he hid it because he didn't want me to freak out. I would feel much better knowing that there's something inside me. Even if we don't know what it is.

My eyelids start growing heavy. I yawn and rub my achy stomach. As much as I want to, I try not to complain about being hungry. Tucker does that enough. But I still want food. I shut my eyes and try to sleep. I can't feel hungry when I'm sleeping right?
