Well would you look at that. I actually updated on time. *Does an awkward dance* Aw yeah! Aw yeah! Take THAT!....... Wait I don't actually know what you're taking......

I wrap my fingers around the warm mug of hot chocolate, the warm steam calming me. I take a sip and look around the living room. It's nice to be back in the real world.
"You were epic! Like, legit," Micah says for the fifth time, grinning. He plops down in the chair across from me, bouncing his leg excitedly "You were beating those guys up. I even told Abby to program the guys to have the X-Men's powers!"
Cody sits on the couch not far from me. "Would you say my hypothesis if correct, Micah?"
"What's your idea?" I ask. "You never told me."
Micah purses his lips and studies me. "I don't know dude, but from all the wicked moves she was doing it wouldn't surprise me. How long have you been kicking guys' butts like that?"
I shrug. "Not long..."
He rubs his hands together with excitement. "Uh huh, and Cody said you like, hear things sometimes and know you have to do something, right?"
"Sometimes they do. Sometimes I just get a feeling," I glance at Cody, "Usually when I'm fighting or in danger. But for some reason I didn't hear anything or go to the White Dimension when I was in VR land."
"That would explain a few things about my theory." Cody adds.
"Wait, wait, White Dimension?"
"Oh, yeah, it's um... It's white—well duh and it..." I bite my tongue, trying to describe something so strange without sounding insane.
"Can I look?" He motions to my head for clarification. "Inside?"
I glance at Cody. He nods, giving me a reassuring smile. I study Micah and see the excitement he's trying to repress. "I guess," I agree apprehensively. But I tell myself Cody trusts him. I feel I can trust him too, "But be careful. It's kind of... painful to be there. You might get a headache."
He grins and scoots the chair up, the legs screeching against the floor. "Ah, I'll be fine. A little headache never hurt me." He presses his fingertips against my forehead. "Relax and open your mind. Think of the White Dimension."
I try to relax and shut my eyes. I can feel him shifting through my mind, searching for the White Dimension. I shudder. I turn my thoughts to the White Dimension, trying to summon myself there even though my mind is distracted by Micah digging in my mind.
Light beats against my eyelids and I look around. I smile. So I DID manage to get here. I turn to Micah, but pause. His hands press over his ears and his eyes squeeze shut. The way his face twitches tells me he's in pain. I touch his shoulder to get his attention. "Micah?"
He flinches, shrieking as his voice raises a few octaves. "Dude, dude, what is this?! What the h—" His image flickers and then, like that, he disappears.
I step back, a bad feeling settles in my stomach. Why did he leave so suddenly? I turn, my heart plummeting to my stomach. The cloud of darkness is closer this time. Much closer. The sight makes my skin crawl. Bad vibes jump from it, the powerful and mysterious aurora drawing me to it. Instinct tells me I should run away, but curiosity gets the best of me. I find myself gravitating towards it.
A faint whisper sounds behind me, the voices unintelligible by static. I whirl round but find nobody. I look back at the darkness, fear clawing my chest. It chokes me, leaving me feeling like I can't breathe. Chills run up and down my spine. The line that separates the light from the darkness is a few feet away.
