can you meet me outside? there's something i need to tell you.
luke takes a shaky breath as he shoves his phone back into his pocket. he folds his arms over his chest, trying to keep himself warm during the breezy night.
it's late. it's almost two i the morning, but luke was tossing and turning and there was absolutely no way he could get to sleep with something like this on his mind. he wasn't even sure if michael was awake. he didn't bothering calling ahead of time. he was so focused on getting here, he didn't even think to make sure the seventeen year old was awake.
for the past few days, he has been thinking all about what michael said and his chat with calum. he didn't want to let his job come in the way of potentially getting in the way of being with someone that he is beginning to fall for. trying to find love was a risk itself, but he knew he was ready for it.
he was leading on the hood of his car when he saw that michael had been walking towards him. he looked exhausted, but not the kind of exhausted like he just woke up. more like he was trying to get to sleep, but was also failing terribly like luke.
"hey," luke instantly pushed his bottom off the car and took a few steps towards michael's way. his heart was racing.
"hi," he replied quietly, letting his eyes linger on luke through the darkness, letting only the streetlights illuminate his face.
luke could feel a lump forming in his throat by the second. he wasn't going to let himself get scared, "i'm sorry that i'm here so late, but this couldn't wait."
michael shrugged, "it's okay, i couldn't get to sleep anyways."
"great, i mean, that's not great, but it's great that you are up to be able to talk to me," luke stuttered over his words, nervous as hell.
michael chuckled softly at how luke was acting. it only made luke laugh as well, realizing he shouldn't be so hard on himself.
the blonde took a deep breath, trying his best to gather his thoughts, "do you remember how i told you that i gave up music?" michael nodded, "well, it was the biggest mistake of my life. up to this day, i still regret letting it go so easily to do something that makes me not enjoy life so much. if i could go back and change my decision i would in a heartbeat."
michael is listening to luke's words so carefully. he doesn't know where he is going with it, but he had a feeling he was going to tell him eventually.
"i know i'm just rambling on now, but it's because i can feel myself falling for you, and it's scary and risky, but i don't want to just give up on this like i did music. i don't want to lose you and regret not pursuing anything in the future. you—"
luke was cut off abruptly when a pair of lips were pressed onto his own. he tenses up a bit, feeling a bit taken back, but he soon relaxed into the kiss, loving this kiss even better than the first one they shared. this one was a bit more lustful, their lips moving in sync together. luke's hands were placed on either sides on michael's face, pulling their lips together as close as they could be.
michael pulled away for a split second to catch his breath. his forehead was pressed against the twenty-seven year olds, "i never thought we'd be able to do that again."
luke smiled widely, placing his lips back on michael's once again, "now we can do it all day," he pecked michael's lips, "and all night."
