*****1864*****
"We now condemn their bodies to ground." The Priest says, as all the mourners gathered around three open graves, with a wooden coffin lowered down into each one.
Amelia stood watching, so far managing not to cry, clutching three red roses tightly in her hand. The Priest then looked over at the girl, and nodded to her to step forward, and taking a deep breath she did so and turned to face the crowd.
"I know I am not a member of the Salvatore Family, but I was close enough to them, that they always said I was even if it wasn't by blood." Amelia begins out, her breath shaking as she speaks. "I know as of recently, this town has suffered some great losses. And until today, I never knew the pain people go through, when they loose so someone they care so deeply about."
"Giuseppe Salvatore, was a good man. He cared for his family, and did whatever it took to protect them. After my Father died in battle, he was very kind to me and my Mother, helping us in anyway that he could. My family will forever be grateful for the kindness he showed us, and I hope that in his death, he goes onto a better place." Amelia says, before throwing one of the roses into one of the open graves, it landing on the lid of the coffin.
Bowing her head at the grave, that now belonged to Giuseppe Salvatore, Amelia walked away from it and stood by the next open grave.
"I have knew Stefan Salvatore since he was only a small baby. I was able to watch him grow up into a a kind, honest, respecting young man, that would of made his Mother proud if she was still with us today. In my opinion, Stefan was only given a short life, as 17 is such a young age to die. He had the rest of his life ahead of him, with so many opportunities within his grasp, it saddens me to think he will never be able to experience any of them." She says, a singular tear slipping down her cheek, before throwing the rose onto Stefan's coffin.
"Sleep tight, Stefan." She whispers, so no one but herself can here, before walking toward the final grave.
Looking at his grave, makes her stomach churn, her heart feeling it is shattering inside her chest. This is the one goodbye she had been fearing. The one she knew, would be the hardest of them all.
"Damon Salvatore was my Best Friend. Me and him have known each other since we were young, and until now, we have been inseparable. We would share secrets, play games together, comfort one another when scared. I remember when he left to defend the South, we would write to each other at every possible moment, and I cried nearly every night upon waiting for his return home. I have never know life without Damon by my side, and it kills me inside to think I will never see him again..." Amelia trails off, not able to finish the rest of the eulogy she had planned, her emotions finally overwhelming her as she breaks down into tears.
Mrs Evans quickly walks over and wraps her arms around the girl, and begins to walk her away from the graves, nodding tot eh Priest to finish the sermon. Before letting her Mother move her though, she quickly pulls out her grasp and turns, throwing the rose into the grave.
"I will never forget you, Damon Salvatore." She whispers quietly, before throwing herself back into her Mothers arms, and sobbing into her shoulders as the Priest finishes the sermon.

When it is over, and the crowd of mourners begins to disperse, Amelia stays standing until it is only her left. Walking over to the now filled in grave, Amelia kneels down beside it, not caring if she dirties her corset.
"Why did you leave me, Damon? " Amelia sniffs, able to see her breath as the air grows cold, making her shiver slightly "Why would you leave me here to suffer a fate worse then death? To live the rest of my life without the person I care for most in the world with me?"
The brown haired girl, just stays knelt by the grave for hours, losing track of time as she just talks aloud to herself, imagining Damon is right there beside her.
Unknown to her, a singular figure lurks in the shadows of the trees behind her, watching her silently with a face full of or sorrow and regret. The raven haired, blue eyed Salvatore feels a tear slip down his cheek, as he watches Amelia pour her heart out to an empty grave.
Amelia had no idea, that he had been hidden, watching the entire service. He had been there for her, even if she didn't know it.At first, he had planned to see her, let her know what truly happened to him and Stefan the night they 'died', but he thought better of it. He wouldn't condemn the girl to a life of vampirism, as he knew as soon as he told her, she would want to turn to be with him for eternity.
"Goodbye, Amelia Evans, I will never forget you either." Damon whispers, before using his new Vampire speed, to rush far away from the Graveyard.
Worlds shortest update, but I only wanted it to be a quick flashback, before I go back to present day and write her reunions with both Salvatore boys. Let me know if it was any good, I honestly think I suck at writing emotional chapters.Hope you all enjoy :)
