Elena stands silently in her house, ignoring the fact Amelia was leaning against the living doorway watching her, holding a picture her and Jeremy together and staring at it emotionless. A photo, that normally would of made her bawl in her current situation, does nothing more then make her blink s she looks at it.
Amelia continues to watch silently, biting her lip to restrain from comment, for once feeling sorry for the girl. So much had happened within the space of a few hours, and because of it, everything was about to become a lot stranger.
***A Few Hours Earlier***
Once regaining their strength fully, and feeding from some blood bags Amelia had in her bag, Damon and Amelia went down the well in search of the others. Though, bad news was awaiting them when they got down there, news they were not expecting at all.
"How'd all this happen ?" Damon question, trying to wrap his head around Stefan had told them.
"It was Katherine" Stefan begins, pausing when he hears a growl escapes Amelia's lips at the name, giving her a look before continuing "She must of been following us this whole time"
"What about the cure or Silas ?"
"If there was anything in there at all, it's all gone" Stefan informs them, and Amelia throws her head back, running her hand through her hair frustrated.
"Great, this is all we freaking need" She sighs annoyed.
"Where the hell is Bonnie ?" Damon then asks, as they peer inside the tomb and see no sign of the Bennett witch.
"I have no idea. She went looking for Jeremy last night. She never came back" Stefan says briefly, something else clearly at the front of his mind, that he had yet to inform them both of "Guys, Elena is in there waiting for the Gilbert ring to bring Jeremy back to life"
"Okay, fine. We'll wait with her" Damon says simply, and goes to go find the Gilbert girl, but Stefan quickly stops him.
"Damon, listen to me. Jeremy was one of the five, a hunter" And that when it hits both of them, and Amelia place s her hand over her mouth in shock, unable to utter a single word.
"He's supernatural, the ring won't work anymore" Damon mutters quietly, making sure Elena hasn't heard him, before looking back up at Stefan with a stern expression "She won't survive this. I'll find Bonnie. You both get Elena off this island"
"Erm, no" Amelia argues quickly, turning to him and folding her arms over her chest "I'll stay and help you find Bonnie, I'm not leaving you here. Not if some immortal freak is now awake and running around"
"That is exactly why you are going home with them, Amy. I'm not having you get hurt by said immortal freak, if I happen to run into him. So, I'll stay and find Bonnie, you go home where it is safe-ish"

Amelia ended up doing as told, after a lot of bickering with Damon on the matter, and was now walking up the Gilbert porch with Stefan and Elena. Stefan had Jeremy's body in his arms, as since no one had the heart to tell Elena about the ring problem, she still thought he was going to be brought back.
As the three walk inside, Caroline was inside the kitchen cleaning, turning to face them with a smile "Hey, you're home. I was trying to clean up the burn mark where Kol" But seeing Jeremy, her smile immediately face, her look turning to a horrified one "I couldn't get the spot out"
Ignoring Caroline completely, Elena looks at Stefan "Come on. Let's get him upstairs"
Once they are gone, Caroline immediately looks at Amelia, her eyes speaking a million questions. Though, the look she gets in return says it all, saddening the girl to no end. Sighing, Amelia walks over and places a hand on Caroline's shoulder in comfort, squeezing it gently "Why don't we make something to drink. I'll explain everything properly"
