I entered the cafeteria and the first thing I noticed was the class slut standing in Isaac's group. I took a deep breath and acted natural. She was standing right next him intentionally tugging down her shirt. I rolled my eyes at her antics.
I trust Isaac. He wouldn't give in to that low life. He wasn't paying her any attention, in fact he looked a little pissed off. I was almost to their group she got even closer to him, her hands weren't touching him yet, she was just shoving her junk all up in his space. I clenched my fists.
I marched passed them. I may trust him, but I can't stand to see that, and besides he should be heading to our place asap. Right?
I threw my backpack down in the corner of the band room, and grabbed Mr. Wilson's keys from his office, an turned, and almost ran into the slut.
"You know, Kat, you're under the radar. You're not worthy to even look at people on the radar," she said leaning against the door frame.
"It'd be a privilege to not see you everyday," I mumbled my knuckles turning white.
"I'm just going to pretend you didn't say that and get to the point. Isaac is the center of the radar. He has a name for himself, you don't," She said glaring at me.
"What's your point?" I asked boldly, yet my fingers began fidgeting. I can't keep this charade up too long.
"My point is that you and him will never work, so I suggest you stop trying right now."
"Who said I was trying in the first place?" I crossed my arms to hopefully stop my fidgeting.
"I saw how jealous you were when he had his hands all over me."
I scoffed, "oh please. First he didn't have his hands all over you. Second you were being the slut you are and shoved your shit all in his face. Third excuse me for walking fast through a cafeteria so that I can practice," I had no idea were all this confidence was coming from. I guess I was so mad and so in love I was willing to do anything to keep him.
"You're gonna pay," with that she spun on her heel and walked off, her heels creating loud echoes throughout the hallway.
I rolled my eyes and went and unlocked the practice room and returned the keys.
Returning to practice room Isaac ran up to me and tackled me in a hug.
"I'm sorry! She wouldn't leave me alone and I should've just walked away and sat here and waited for you!" He whispered into to my ear.
"Hey it's okay. My trust never wavered. She just pisses me off. Did she do anything to you?"
"Just try and get me to look at her. Good grief some people are just so desperate it makes me sick," he said shaking his was slightly. "I saw her walking through here. Did she do anything to you?"
I explained the situation, and he just shook his head again looking pissed. "The bitch if she touches you I fucking swear it!"
"It's okay. I'm not worried."

During lunch I was laughing with my friends about a show we watch.
"Oh that reminds me! The masquerade dance is next Saturday and we all must get ready together!" Ariel said excitedly.
"How does 'The Big Bang Theory' remind you of the masquerade?" I asked her.
"It doesn't, but I needed to bring it up somehow. Whose all going?" She asked. A chorus of yeahs and mes followed. I remained silent. Everyone looked at me.
"I'm not going," I shrugged.
"What?! You have to go!" Michael exclaimed.
"Why aren't you going?" Lisa asked.
"I just don't want to go," I said.
"Please come? It'll be so much fun!" Lauren whined.
"Yeah come on even I'm going," Katie said.
"Alright fine I'll think about it," I sighed. Actually I was going, but I wanted to surprise them. If I said that I was going I'd be asked to go to one of their houses and get ready with them, but I wanted to show up an surprise them with my dress and mask that my grandma got me.
"Is anyone going to ask anyone? It's girls ask guys," Ariel asked. Everyone shook their heads, my friends aren't really boy crazy except Ariel and Micaela, I wasn't either until Isaac.
"Who are you asking?" I asked Ariel.
"Kyle. Duh!" She said like it was the most obvious thing.
"Wait you two are still together? Holy cow it's a record!" Lisa exclaimed and we all laughed.
Mallory raised an eyebrow at something behind me. I raised an eyebrow at her. "Isn't that Samantha by Isaac?"
Everyone turned around. My jaw clenched. She was had her hands on the table and she was bent over showing her junk off again. She straightened up and looked at me and winked.
"Isaac?" She asked loudly. "Would you attend the masquerade with me?" There was a collected gasp around the cafeteria as everyone anticipated his answer.
"No," he said bluntly.
"What do you mean no?" She said her eyes popping out of her head. I smirked.
"No as in I will not go to the masquerade with you," he said matter-a-factly.
"Why?" She whined. "You'd have a lot of fun."
"Because you're a desperate slut. Face it you can't pull everyone under your spell," he said turning back to his food and people were laughing. She huffed and marched off. Isaac glanced up at me and winked. I winked back with the biggest smile on my face. My phone buzzed. I took it out of my pocket and checked it.
Jealous much?
~Isaac
I looked up at him and he was smirking. I stuck my tongue out at him for second and mouthed "shut up!" He laughed slightly.
"Who the heck are you talking too?" Ariel said loudly causing me to jump and turn to look at her.
"Jared and Scott," I said quickly.
She raised an eyebrow and I returned the gesture. We had a kind of stare down before she shrugged her shoulders and went back to her food.
"What?" I asked.
"You just seem suspicious," she shrugged.
"Um... Okay?" I said in a questioning way.
"I don't you're off. You come to lunch late you arrive at band just after the bell not twenty minutes before like you used too, and you're talking to them more. It just seems suspicious, but I know you too well. You wouldn't be sneaking around with some boy let alone those two, and you'd tell if something happened with a boy," she explained.
That hit me and guilt flooded my system. I wanted to spill right there, she was basically my sister after all, but then the voice in the back of my mind told me not to do it, to wait for the right time.
I recovered quickly. "Yeah seriously. If I started dating one of those two shoot me right then there. Plus you know me and math don't get along, and we tell each other everything, eventually," I mumbled the last part. The hole just got deeper.
