Scarlett Rodriguez:

I woke up dreading another day of work. I hear some talking downstairs and I check to see what time it is.

I grab my slippers and put them on before heading downstairs not bothering to take my bun off.

"She won't be up for a little I assume" I hear Hayes say to someone. The mysterious person speaks "it's fine I'll wait no worries"

Nate

"Alright" Hayes says "so do you live here with her?" Nate asks Hayes "Well ever since that one day yes or sorta I have a few clothes here but I still have my apartment which I hardly ever go to. But I was thinking on talking to her if I could" he finishes

"Oh" is all Nate says "yeah I mean might as well I have my babygirl here and I just got a job so I could help her pay" I see Hayes shrug as I finally appear in the living room.

"Hey" Nate smiles instantly getting up from the couch "hey" I smile. he comes to me hugging me tightly

"We aren't at the point in our relationship where you get to see me like this" I whisper into his ear making him chuckle "still look as hot as always" he winks as he pulls away from the hug.

"Join us for breakfast" I offer as Hayes gets up leaving to the kitchen "gladly but I don't think your ex lover:baby daddy likes me so much" he furrows his eyebrows "doesn't matter I want you there" I say grabbing his hand and leading him to the kitchen.

"I made some oatmeal with toppings of blueberries and strawberries" Hayes announces "sounds delicious" I smile at him and take a seat as Nate does the same taking a seat.

"He knows how to cook" Nate whispers to me surprised "mmh" I hum "don't you?" I ask as he rapidly shakes his head 'no'

"Not even eggs?" I chuckle quietly "no" he says a little embarrassed "it's alright you'll learn" I assure him

"Here's your plate" Hayes says putting a plate in front of me "awh thank you but I could've gotten it myself" I say giving him a small smile "it's no bother" he shrugs "uh Nate would you like some" he chocked out

"Yeah dude that'd be great" Nate answers. Hayes gets him his plate and one himself before giving a plate of cereal to Alanis, wonder who's cleaning that mess up afterwards.

"Hey Scarlett?" Nate says as I work on an assignment "yeah?" I say not looking away from my computer screen

"I feel very uncomfortable in your house with Hayes and all" that catches my attention and I look away and look at him my face softening.

"Not that I want you to kick Hayes out or anything" he quickly says "just that I'll hardly go over, if that is okay with you, sorry" he sighs looking down at the ground.

I sigh and get up going over to him making him look down at me "don't be sorry. I get it" I give him a small smile before pulling him in for a small kiss.

I pull away and see him smiling "thank you for being so understanding and great Scar" he mumbles planting a kiss on my forehead before heading out to his office.

After a few more hours of work it was finally time to get out. I was tired and exhausted and bummed about the Nate and Hayes situation.

5:30

I slide my card to notify the manager I'm done with my shift even though I was technically the pre-manager? i don't know what they call it but.

There was traffic as I was on my way home but I finally got there and I don't know what got into me but I might have been overreacting because once I got inside the house I started somewhat arguing with Hayes.

"Because of you Nate doesn't feel welcome in my home. lay off him for God sakes! we aren't anything and you sure as hell aren't my father so you have no right to make remarks about him or to him! let me just remind you this is my house you're now staying in!" I ramble on anger taking the best of me.

I was a really heated person when it came to stuff like this and I knew I had to chill a little but I didn't and I said the one thing I didn't mean to because I loved his company.

"No you know what leave." I demand pointing towards the door "Scarlett calm down please, let's talk about this" he says calmly "just go" I say trough gritted teeth.

He looks at me a sad face washing over him as my face softens. He looks at me once more before leaving not bothering to get the couple clothes he had here.

And I knew that was my biggest mistake.

awh I cri but like um this is a month or two into Nate and Scarlett's relationship so yeah!
