I got up, exhausted for some reason.

"You're up, good. Alanis is in the living room watching some, kid stuff. she ate and there's breakfast on the table" he smiles leaning against the door

I return the smile and lean up against the headboard of my bed.

"I'm going to get going, thanks for letting me stay the night" he says before turning around.

"Hayes" I call out hoping he would hear me. I wait a little before he appears at the door way "hm" he hums

"Thank you" I smile and get up before heading over to him planting a small kiss on his cheek and hugging him after.

He doesn't take long to hug back, his hands slipping onto my waist. He mumbles a 'no problem' before letting go.

I head downstairs with him and I go into the kitchen as he heads into the living room to say goodbye to Alanis.

Which was hard since she literally was attached to his leg and by that I mean she was basically hugging his leg as he walked into the kitchen and sighed before laughing.

I was basically stuffing my face with the toast and eggs Hayes made

"Baby" I groan and Hayes looks up from his legs "she doesn't want to let go" he says raising his hands up in defense knowing I wasn't calling him baby

"Not chu you're not a baby" I chuckle "now I am" he argues crossing his arms over his chest

I laugh and head over to them trying to remove Alanis from his legs

"On't go pwease" she begs looking up at him her big round blue eyes forming into pleading doggie eyes

"Wish I didn't have to baby, but I need to go to work" he says piking her up onto his side

"Me too baby, so I have to get ready in a little to take you to day care" I sigh as I look between her and Hayes

"And I still don't finish my delicious breakfast" I whine as she refuses to let him go, Hayes chuckles as I whine

"Go ahead and eat it, take your time don't rush it. I'll change her and take her to day care before heading to work" my smile grows and I clap as Hayes laughs

"You're the best, the b-e-s-t, best!" I say hugging them both and going back to the table to continue eating.

By the time I was done eating I was headed upstairs as they were coming downstairs

"I'll see you later" I say pinching Alanis' little cheek as they stop half way down making me stop.

"And thank you, I really appreciate it" I smile looking at Hayes "it's my pleasure, the least I could do" he shrugs smiling before walking downstairs and out the door.

I head upstairs and changing into a black pencil skirt and a white long sleeve button up. I grab my black heels and put them on before slightly straighten my hair

I hear my phone buzz and I grab it from my vanity desk before sitting down in the little chair

Hayes: Have a fantastic day, love. Don't worry about picking up Alanis I've got it. You're an amazing mother, see you later.

I smile as I read the text message Hayes had just sent me.

Scarlett: Thank you, again and again. 1000x thank you. You've been a great father to Alanis so far I appreciate it, see you later. xoxo

I get up grabbing my purse and putting my phone in along with my wallet before grabbing the files I need for work.

I get into my car and drive off to work. I arrive in no time, as it is just a few blocks away from where I live

I stop by at my secretary's desk as she informs me on what will be going on today.

"Hey, Scar you also have a someone-in-training inside your office waiting for you. You're training them" I nod and sigh

"Thanks lind" I tell her before heading inside my office, I close the door behind me and i see a male sitting on one of the chairs in front of my desk

"I'm assuming you're the one in training" I say as I go around my desk, sitting on my chair and logging onto the computer.

"Yes mam' I am" he says, I nod my head as I don't take a glance at him yet "and please call me Scarlett" I chuckle "you make me seem older than I am"

He chuckles softly "will do" he assures me "alright so, let's get down to business" I say finally looking at him

Woah.

"Forgive me for asking but aren't you a little too young to be working here?" he questions "I can ask you the same" he looked around maybe his mid twenties.

"Good point, I'm only 22" he laughs "but my father wants me to work, instead of and I quote 'being a lazy ass who just sits around' so here I am" I nod "22 is pretty young but I'm barley turning 20 so looks like I'm wining here"

He chuckles and I smile at him "ok so now down to the training everything is simple" I start off telling him.
