"Yea?"

"I love you. I love everything about you. I've been feeling this way for sometime now but I could never get up the courage to say it. I want to be with you and it's been occurring to me I'd like to hang out with you for my whole life."

"Taylor."

"Yea?"

"I'm sorry but I don't feel the same way."

"What?"

"I don't like you that way, you went out with my best friend TWICE and I just don't see myself with someone like you. You chase after boys and I'm not sure I'm up for getting my heart broken. Bye Taylor." He walked away. I cry my eyes out. I just lost one of the best people I've ever had in my life.

***************

"Taylor! TAYLOR!!!!"

"Huh? What?!"

"The ride's over, you can stop screaming."

"Oh, let's go." It was my imagination. Thank God.

"You okay?"

"Um, yea. What ride do you want to go to next?"

"You pick this time."

I looked around and found a ride that didn't look too scary.

"That one!" I pointed to a ride called The Mind Bender.

"Okay, let's go!" He pulled me towards the ride.

We stood in line and all I could think about was me telling Ed I like him. Would it end up like how I'd imagined it before? This made it even harder than it already was. I'm scared that I'll be rejected, then everything will change between us. I cant tell him. I wont tell him.

"Hey, you okay Swiftie?"

"Yea, I guess I just have post-ride jitters or something."

"We can go if you want."

"Its fine. I'm okay."

We stood in line and talked until we got to the front. A little girl looked at us and smiled.

"Is that your new boyfriend?" I looked at her then realized she was talking to me.

"What?"

"Is that your new boyfriend?" She pointed at Ed and I looked at him. His eyes were fixed on me. A few seconds later a smirk spread across his face and he got down to the girl's level.

"No, no I'm not."

"Why not?"

"Cuz we're just friends."

"Why are you just friends?"

Ed looked at me then smiled. Then he whispered something in the girl's ear. What's going on? The girl smiled then Ed stood up again.

"What did you tell her?"

"Nothing." he smiled.

"ED. Tell me."

The person working the ride yelled, "Next!"

He completely ignored my question and got into the seat. I sat down next to him and stared ahead for a while, then the curiosity got to me.

"What did you tell the girl? Please just tell me."

He put a hand on my shoulder. "Don't worry, it wasn't anything bad."

I was about to say something else but the ride started. It was good, and wasn't too scary. When the ride was over, me and Ed got a funnel cake and we sat down at a little bench and ate it together. We talked about how much we love funnel cakes and how much Ed loves food in general. It got quiet for a minute, then I spoke again.

"I lied."

"About what?"

"....About me and Taylor."

"You two aren't dating?"

"Nope."

"Why'd you have to lie?"

I thought about it for a second, trying to think of ways to tell him why lied without actually telling him I like him. He looked at me and I just smiled and threw our empty plate away. I decided I'd avoid the question the same way he avoided mine earlier.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him off the bench. "Lets go!"

"Wait, you didn't answer my question."

"Sucks, doesn't it?" he laughed then I put a hand on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, it isn't anything bad."
