~TAYLOR'S POINT OF VIEW~

I sit all alone in a booth at one of my favourite coffee shops. One of the servers comes up to me, ready to take my order. I wipe my face of hot tears and look up at her. She stares at me in disbelief but then gives me a questioning look.

"Are you-"

I don't even let her finish, I just say, "Yea", and let her take my order. She's about to leave my booth but then turns around, looking nervous.

"Are you okay?"

"No", I say, thinking about the whole Ed situation.

"May I ask what's wrong?"

"It's nothing", I say wiping my tears again.

"Then why are you crying?"

"Just leave me alone please", I snap. She turns around slowly and walks behind the counter to make my drink.

I take a mirror out of my purse and look at my reflection. My eyes are almost blood red and I have huge bags under them. You can see the dried up tears on my cheeks and my nose is pink. I look sick. I start to feel bad for being so rude to the waitress. I can't do anything mean and not feel guilty afterwards. A few minutes later she comes back, narrowing her eyes at me.

"Here", she says coldly. Before she leaves, I tell her to wait and she turns back around.

"I'm sorry for snapping on you, you were only trying to be nice."

"It's fine."

"Seriously, I'm not a mean person at all. I just...I'm just having a really bad day." She turns away, directing her gaze away from me. I just look down into my cup noticing a clear glob floating around inside, making me question it.

"Please don't hate me", I say softly. Out of the corner of my eye, I see her expression soften.

"It's alright, I don't hate you", she says.

"Thank you, and thanks for the tea", I say bringing it up to my lips slowly.

"WAIT! Um don't drink that, I'll get you some more", she says quickly before running off with my drink. I look at the time. Tonight's the big event. Ed's been calling my mom's phone since yesterday. She told him I broke mine. I haven't returned any of his calls. I can't talk to him or I might yell or cry some more. Plus I need to focus on my performance, not all this drama. The woman comes back with a smile on her face and some more tea.

"Thanks."

"No problem, I hope you feel better."

I leave the coffee shop feeling a bit better, but still sad. I just hope my mood is better by tonight.

~ELLIE'S POINT OF VIEW~

"Why won't she answer me?" Ed cries into his hands. I rub his back for comfort.

"Maybe she's really busy. You said she had some performance tonight, right?"

"But she would've called me", he says harshly looking up at me. His eyes are so red and he looks so....miserable.

"I'm sorry Ed."

"It's not your fault. I should have called her back right away."

'It's not your fault'. But really it is. This is all my fault. I think about telling him but he might never talk to me again.
