The green-eyed boy was a but annoyed that Luke hadn't understood what he had meant.

He had been sitting on Calum's bed for approximately half an hour now, doing nothing.

He had stupid headspace that he couldn't do anything about and it annoyed him. Some days he would feel like a four-year-old and other days a 16-year-old.

He sighed and looked around Calum's room, taking in every small detail.

Grey curtains. Black walls. Cream carpet. His bedspread was black with some small silver and gold designs dotted across it.

His bedspread was slightly wrinkled where Calum had kept flopping down on it. Michael lay down slowly and rested his head on the pillow, the scent of Calum overwhelming him.

He played with his feet for a while kicking them up and down and giggling.

He heard a door open and close.

"Calum?" A female voice called out. "It's Mali - oh hi Mikey," she grinned at the small boy.

"Hi Mali," he replied shyly, burying his face into the pillow. Calum came in a few minutes later, sitting down in the spinny chair hanging from the ceiling.

[i think it's called a moon chair]

Mali sat down at the end of Calum's bed, slipping her shoes off.

"So what are you doing here, Mikey?" Mali asked, brown eyes meeting green.

He secretly liked when people called him Mikey when he was in headspace.

"You like being called Mikey?" Calum asked, eyebrows raised.

"Huh?"

"You said you secretly like being called Mikey. I don't mind, nothing's wrong with that."

"Oh."

"Back to the question."

"I was left behind by Luke -"

"Next time I see him I'm gonna punch him in the nutsack," Mali said, voice low.

"Not in a bad way!" Michael squeaked.

"Oh, okay." Mali was clearly happier now.

"And said I should stay the night. Hope you don't mind?" Michael trailed off softly at the last part, looking at Mali through his eyelashes.

She grinned before ruffling his hair, making the blue-haired boy whine. "Of course not. You're like a brother to me as well as Calum, so definitely."

Michael gave Mali a quick hug before saying, "Promise I won't make a mess."

With, of course, a heart-melting smile afterwards.
